Yay, I contributed! Along the same lines, what would you think about a flying archer vs a flying creature in the same zone? I'm thinking no shot, but would like to know for sure.
I'd like to reconsider from a point of logic (as in mathematical logic; 1 = 1).
Rules as they are now:
MeleeMelee can attack melee (same zone only)
Rangers/ArchersRangers can attack any flyers in range. (minimum: same zone - maximum: 1 or 2 )
Rangers can attack at distance: 1 or 2 zones
Rangers can't attack point blank on ground.
FlyersFlyers can attack Melee by diving to the ground. (Same zone)
Flyers can attack other Flyers as in Melee attack (Same zone)
This conclusion above is correct for:
Rangers can't attack point blank on ground. (In this case "air")
However this contradicts:
Rangers can attack any flyers in range. (minimum: same zone - maximum: 1 or 2 )
So there no logic in telling a "Flying Ranger" would loose his ability to shoot any flyer in his space,
it would contradict the definition or "being a Ranger".
He could dive to the ground or soar to the air to create distance to shoot the target.
Would also seem realistic in my world
