will academy cards be on octgn to use in games?

Usually after the release of the expansion they become available. Maybe we could convince them to release it before then though

Well, it depends on what kind of game are you actually having.

Right now, for example, Thunderdome II tournament allows them and if you ask your opponent before games start, if they are cool about promo usage, well use them

For everyone's edification, typically the release of an Expansion is done after the cards for that Expansion is added to the Card DB on the Mage Wars forum. Believe it or not, Domination was not the exception, the cards were added to the Card DB before the general availability of the Expansion itself.

I have been hoping that we will see the Academy cards on the Card DB here soon myself.

Just as a note, Academy is a very large release of just cards along with being a totally new game. It is not clear at the moment that once the cards are released, what will be made available on OCTGN. More than likely the first pass will be the cards themselves and some level of automation for Arena games. Follow on releases will include better automation for all of the cards in Arena and the addition of Academy style game play in the same game module as Arena.
