My first book construction

Hey guys, I want to present to you my first book I created. I named it "Rain of Arrows" and the idea behind this book is to have 2 archer watchtowers oposite to each other and covered with walls of earth. The buffed mage and his loyal guard will be in the middle holding defense, while archers are doing their job.

Turn 1 (19): Barracks (12) one square to the right + full cast goblin builder (5)
Turn 2 (11): move one and guard with mage + quickcast Eisenach (; builder moves one square up
Turn 3 (12): battleforge ( + goblin full action - build archers watchtower (4)
Turn 4 (9): moonglove amulet from forge (6) + FD brace yourself on myself

then equiping myself + armor ward while builder builds 2 wall around watchtower and then move to the oposite site to do the same thing... barracks are populating the watchtowers with archers while mage and his guard are holding the lines 

So what do you think? Does this build have a future? Thanks for your replies

Looking at your opening, it sounds like it takes 6 or 7 rounds to get set up... which is a problem I also find with my Warlord books.  An aggressive mage isn't going to give you that much time.  It looks like you're more mana-limited than action-limited.  Your Barracks does nothing for the first 5 or 6 rounds, so that might be something to skip. Also, the Round 4 Moonglow Amulet (which costs 6 sbp!) might be too-little-too-late.  Why not Battle Forge and Mana Flower on round 1, then Builder on round 2?  Or even skip the Builder and build the Watchtower/walls yourself? Of course, no Barracks means you'll have to full-cast your archers.  Or you could cast the Barracks after you've got 2 Outposts (presumably Watchtowers) out so it channels 3 to start and you'll already have some equipment from Battle Forge.  This way, the archers come in a little later to support you, but at least your mage is equipped for battle a little earlier.

You are absolutely right with the opening, thank you for your advice. I totally did not think that way and it could solve the action/mana problem. I will drop the amulet and add mana flower. Thanks again

It seems like too few decent walls... those piles of dirt can take only one (or at most two) hits before being destroyed. Also, it seems like you may have too many ranged creatures for the walls and towers. I'd swap out one or two... maybe Boltstorm and a crossbowman (or two?) and put in a couple Walls of Stone or Steel, and another melee creature or two like Orcs or something like a Bloodcrag Minotaur who is a good Standard Bearer... um, bearer (if you decide to add one).

I like the general idea of this book. Beefing up an Anvil Throne Warlord and giving him lots of range range back up does work and it will win you mages. I'm with Dave on this though, maybe swap out a ranger and like Dave I suggest Boltstorm and get yourself a melee bodyguard like Thorg, a Dwarven panzerguarde, or a minotaur. Even a couple of Orc Butchers would be solid.

Yes, Bolstrom is the weakest link in this and I was also thinking of swaping him for a Minotaur (I really like this creature). Thanks, that you appreciate the idea behind this book I know, that the walls could be fragile (force hammer) but the builder, or two could remove at least some damage and if you mean damage from creatures, well range attacks + mangler caltrops + my mage "on guard" could guarantee wall survival... and I think, that there is a card (promo or something), that will reconstruct conjuration... so that could be a good addition later

I forgot to swap the rhino hide for a mana flower so instead of rhino hide, there is a mana flower
