finite life sardonyx on trees
« on: June 05, 2015, 11:36:55 AM »
Hello everyone,

Because my necromancer really had a hard time dealing with the druids galathor and trees i would love to try sardonyx on her. I want to go really aggressive and kill her vine tree as fast as possible. I noticed that his finite life ability only states creatures, but to me it seems strange if his poisonous aura wouldnt work on trees.

Can someone clarify this?

When in doubt kill it with fire? I never doubt and crush them right away.

Next to this I also wonder if you can delay the reanimation of your eternal servant if you have not enough mana. Can you wait one turn and meditate before reanimation? Can you do it during the upkeep phase after channeling?

I actually have the same question for rise again. I don't see time mentioned anywhere. Does this mean you can reanimate the creature whenever you want during the game? keeping the monster in the discard pile a few rounds until you want to spend the mana for reanimation.

Sardonyx only gives finite life to creatures, not conjurations.

As a Necromancer, you have to pay to reanimate your eternal servant when it gets destroyed. You can't wait.

You have to pay the cost for Rise Again when the creature gets destroyed. You can't wait.

The wording on eternal servant is less clear than the wording on Rise Again, but the timing on the payment works the same way assuming that Rise Again is face up.
