Grey Wraith Teleport Ability

The Grey Wraith states that it can spend a mana to teleport to an adjacent zone. However, the Grey Wraith does not have a Channeling. How do I get the mana onto the Grey Wraith so it can use it's ability? Does the upkeep I spend go onto the wraith? Are there other spells that will add channeling to the creature?

Your mage pays the mana.

Upkeep is a cost your Mage has to pay during the upkeep phase to prevent that object from being destroyed.
