Events / Re: OCTGN DOMINATION Summer 18 Tourney
« on: July 10, 2018, 10:39:30 PM »
The results of our match (Werekingdom vs Silverclawgrizzly) was a eventual victory for Werekingdom after an 1:15hr game.

The step by step events of the game.

The sweltering Thursday evening was interrupted by the roar of the spectators as large panel screens showing the insides of a cavernous arena came alive. On one end of the arena a silver haired beauty walked out of the black portal that suddenly yawned open. The crowd erupted in to cheers, which doubled in volume as Ms. Silver raised her hand to the camera and waved, this action ending some of the catcalls as her large meat-hook like fingernails became apparent to the more observant spectators.

But before all the crowd noticed those impressive armament, a new portal appears in the far end of the cavern, from which a dashing man in bright whites robes strode out of the darkness as if he was the king of the world.

This glorious image was somewhat lessened by the presence of a boombox attached by hemp twine to the priest's belt. The "priest" then had the audacity to bend down to the boombox's control panel and press the bright red play bottom, once he came completely into the arena. This resulted in the boombox starting to play "Burn baby burn" by Ash, the hellish auditory experience which followed as the Priest's high-pitch screeching (*singing) was added was memorable, to say the least.

As the octaves climbed, the priest's holy image shattered, the crowd scattered, leaving only those unfortunate souls that where unable to flee, including Ms. Silver, clasping their hands to their head in a vain attempt to block out the painful sound. The "priest," unaware of his profound effect on the audience, continued singing for a whole 15 rounds, until Ms. Silver manage to flee the underground cavern. Thus leaving the priest to creates his own hellish audio landscape in the darkness, manifesting a nightmare worse the any of the fevered dreams of purgatory that Dante may have imagined.

I would like to join if possible.

I would like to ask how many times a mage can be played.
Are the rules similar to Thunderdome?

Adramelech Warlock

I usually have a healing wand and lots of regenerate and heal cards, but I can never seem to keep pace with burn's and incoming damage from creatures. (also the in-school poison blood, thief of life and deathlock seem like a additional insult to injury).

We need some statistics.

Which mages were used so far?

How often did they win/lose?

Some prio/post game interviews would be cool as well. (Talking with the same player before the match and afterwards..)

I have so far played:
Adramelech Warlock vs Ent's Straywood Forest Beastmaster (I lose)
Straywood Forest Beastmaster vs DevilsVendetta's Malakia Priest (I lose)
Wychwood Druid vs Pole287's Johktari Beastmaster (I won)

Rules Discussion / Death Ring and Eternal Servant
« on: February 10, 2018, 12:40:52 PM »
Hey guys,

So quick clarification, I played a game where I had 7 mana, the Deathfang Eternal Servant and the Death Ring.

Does the Death Ring give the discount when bring your Eternal Servant servent back?
I had always played that it did, but another player questioned it, and I wanted to be sure.

Hello grga.curkovic,

I like your tactic, but I have a few questions.

First: Which warlord are you playing? that could make a huge differences. Personally I like the the Bloodwave since you can gain armor from the Vet tokens.

On turn 5 you may want the armorery for the armor (the Troll is good, but an armored toll is great)

Lastly. You should probably try the Vanguard Dwarf since he is cheap and can protect you.

Hey Reddicediaries,

So a few thoughts, I think the Paladin need atleast some more channeling, since you will tend to cast more attack and enchantments then the warlords and yet get less discounts.

I like casting the Red Helm as the first creature, becuase it acts like a cheap, early game west lock knight alternative. Then I would cast Ehren and Life Link, then next turn cast Hand of Bim. (heals Ehan in 2 turns instead of 3-4 turns)

I do like the Battle Forge, since most Paladin decks seem to live or die on there armor.

I might look at the force gaurdian to help absorb the attacks.  Another answer is the symbiotic orb which allows you to get a free Melee Defence on them if you are in the same zone.  I would carry at least two orbs maybe three.  You can remove dissipates from your creatures to help get them to their last dissipate faster .  Siphon Energy is a good way to get a heal off as well getting ur low level creatures to final dissipate.  Also ranged attacks are going to be the ghouls downfall imo. You could force orb the ghouls too.  Let the feasting begin!  ;D
Hello Farkas1, I like your idea of using the symbiotic orb, at present I was using the spiked buckler.
Do you think that the Ghoul is worth the mana investment for a Force orb?
At the moment I've been using him as a anti-conjuration that is always 2 zones away, thus acting as a threat and yet out of range for a quick kill.
(He has 7 atk + 1 pics after eating the grimlin).
On the topic of Siphon Energy I prefer to use Siphon with the force bomb since that gives the opponent the least amount of time to react

Hey Guys,

At the movement I only have 1 Ghoul but I do agree that I need a second one. The problem with the Ghouls is that it is fragile, it has only 2 armor and it is both level 3 and non-living so most enchantments don't work on him.

As for Ghoul food, after the first Grimlin, I've been using the Force cats (5 mana / 4 with dicount) instead of the Grimlins for the simple fact that they are not pest so I can use them as a guard with the alter and get a better atk (2 dice + 2 pics).
