I hadn't considered Regenerate cards within this and looked at straight life:life benchmarks. I do concede that it is a high SBP option, however as I keep stating if it is the correct tool for the job in that build then it is worth those points.

It's really not that bad in terms of SBP. Sure for the Siren it would be 4 points, but for any other mage it's 3 points.

1) If you cast a Tangleroot on a flying creature and then reveal it you lose the tangleroot because it is not a valid target.

Target a flying creature, then hit it with knockdown, or wait until it is guarding, then reveal tangleroot.

AW has been extremely careful when it comes to the warlords and their 'engine'.

It wouldn't take much to tip the warlords from balanced (or slightly under-performing) to overpowered.

The warlord has an engine? Well if it does it doesn't run very well. Needing to drop 20 Mana to get an engine going, and to have it all destroyed by a simple fire spell. Anytime I have attempted to use the barracks plus any of the outposts I've had little to no success because of the upfront investment puts you so far behind.

Thank you for your kind words Borg.

My initial idea was to get AW to support my spellbook builder and at some point that almost happened (from what I was told they were drafting an agreement for me to sign), but then it didn't (with no explanation)...


Why would they support you and pay you for something you're already doing willingly for free. Just saying.

It's totally a dick move, but you did create it, and keep it up to date with the help of the community. I would just be weary that somehow, they got someone to steal the code and logic behind it and are doing it themselves.

Why is Wall of bone not undead? It's currently only Skeleton.

There are only 4 Trap cards.

3 of them are "attack type cards"

2 of the attacks are unavoidable, only hydrothermal vent is not.

I don't remember from the playtesting discussions, but was this just missed, or was "unavoidable" intentionally left out?

Could this be something to consider for Errata if it was accidently left off. It seems like it should be unavoidable, based on past card creation.

there are 3 clerics that are 5 Mana and 1 SBP. There are also 3 Clerics that are 9 Mana and 2 SPB. There are no holy walls. So walling off a cleric isn't really worth it.

There are a lot of cleric that are actually good at fighting as well. So you should always have 2-3 clerics on the board at all times.

You could also use a the Temple of Asyra + Harmonize to spawn the 5 Mana Clerics as a free action. Or Temple + Cleric to cast an additional Cleric each round to ensure you have enough Clerics on the board.

But the problem with the temple is when do you cast it.

Priestess -
R1 - (20) 10 (temple) = (10)
R2 - (20 +1) 5 (Cleric) 1(Crown) = (14+1)
R3 - (24 + 2) 24 (Alfiya) 2 (Leather [Boots / pants / gloves] ) = 0

or

Priestess -
R1 - (20) 10 (temple) 5 (Cleric) = (5)
R2 - (15 +1) 5 (Cleric) 1 (Crown)  - Pray original cleric = (9 +2)
R3 - (19 + 3) 5 (Deploy Ehren) 1 (Martyr's restoration) 2 (mend) Double Pray (temple +2) = (14+2)
R4 - (24 + 3) 24 (Deploy Alfiay) Pray (Activate Alfiya) (pray Temple +1) 2 (Leather armor or Mend if you still need to buff Ehren) = (1+1)

So you can have a 3rd turn active alfiya by herself w/ one cleric or a turn 4 Alfiya, W/ 2 Clerics and Ehren (hopefully at full strength)

Oh I agree the Druid has always been incredibly strong and with some of the new stuff out she's even better. I've had the itch to make a swamp Druid for a while now. I think cards like Chitin Armor and Waterfall Cloak only add to her already incredible resilient nature.

One of the drawbacks to the swamp druid is that you'll only have 4 swamp terrain cards, that'll cost 2 points each. so you really won't be able to take over much of the arena. But the vine markers will add to the slowing down of everything else.

I also think with multiple clerics you can pray multiple times to allow Alfiya to attack multiple times a turn.  So if Alfiya gets 2-3 attacks a turn that could be crazy effective.

Second Chance for the cleric? (target is "Friendly Living Minor Creature", so it won't work on Alfiya herself)
This could be one of the few good uses for [mwcard=MW1I22]Resurrection[/mwcard], as it's half the price of a second copy of Alfiya. It's also 28 mana to cast. so that's basically 3 turns of doing nothing to generate that kind of mana.



Totally didn't see minor creature. we'll have to rethink that one.


Would it be more efficient to double-move your Mage on Round 1 (and perhaps a Mana Crystal), then Cleric + whatever on Round 2, then Alfiya + Cheetah Speed on Round 3? This saves having to waste Alfiya's first active turn just double-moving to close distance and gets your mage into a better support position.

I'll have to look at the math to see if I can afford Alfiya turn 3. plus i'll have to change some other things around.

Turn one 5 mana cleric and Crown of protection
Turn 2 Alfiya, Pray, Double move Alfiya
Turn 3 Move Cheetah speed on Alfiya, Pray, revel Cheetah speed, Attack with Alfiya.

One thing to help keep alfiya alive is the 2 mage wands with healing spells. and Second Chance.

But if Alfiya dies, you're pretty screwed.
