Is this still active? I live a bit of a drive from St Louis but would be willing to travel for some events
I'm about 20 EAST of ST.Louis on the Illinois side. Would be willing to meet up somewhere someday. The STL group kinda of died off. Hard to get ahold of anyone anymore. I contacted Arcane Wonders about being a Ambassador so that I could try and re-start the group, but haven't heard back about anything.

Hello! I got this card today and I was wondering if someone could identify the special watermark/thingy on it (LG99?99LG?L99G?) never seen it before and am super curious! Thanks!

You could draw inspiration from Keejchen "Elemental Lord." Should be on the forum (search that title) and on his Youtube channel.

Thanks for the reference!
I took a quick glance at it. Thats alot of equipment, and a few of the cards I dont physically have. I'll look at it a little closer in a bit though and see if there is much I can swap out. I did end up playing mine against my wife last night and it was fun, but she destroyed me. It was fun having her have to deal with my Magma Golem, and she was freaking out about dealing with that, and when she was done, I had an Iron golem and Ice golem about to pounce on her, but her archers and a good teleport move took me out.

I don't know if you were aware, but the original Wizard had a choice of training in any one element, plus Arcane. It was found to be too flexible / powerful / something to just give him a choice of one. I doubt you will have many of the Wizard's abilities and training in all elements should an arena Elementalist come out.
LOL@ you for thinking Arena is still going to be supported...

Spellbook Design and Construction / Arena Elemental Wizard
« on: April 12, 2020, 02:33:54 AM »
I love the Wizard, but wish he was more "Elemental" than just "air/arcane". But I don't care, I built him as if he was an Elemental and wanted to make it fun/thematic.

So, a couple side notes:
1) I only play physical game with my wife, and we only play for fun. I can't be competitive or she wont play.
2) As I said in 1, I only play physical, so i'm working with what cards I have. I do not have all sets.
3) This is meant to be a fun/thematic build.
4) My wife basically only play's Priestess. I know that basically means I probably don't need 1/2 the cards I have, but I am also looking for a single spell book to be able to play a variety of different ways as well in a single book :)
5) My wife allows me to play Wizards Tower as spellbound and not the new Errata rules.

I JUST built it, and will probably play tomorrow, but just thought I would post on here for some input if you wanna give any :) Maybe some combos with the creatures/spells or something i may not of thought of.

Alright, another update (TWO IN A ROW! Either I'm on it or waiting to post these all at once.. )

So when playing the games, having the models on the table instead of the art cards is SUPER amazing! It really points out who the main focus is on the battlefield and gives it way more dynamic to the game. Also, it clears up that extra "Card" on the table and cleans it up just ever so slightly.

Well, with that, it makes it a little more difficult to keep the markers and tokens near them.  When the wife and I were playing, we kept them on the stat card in our play area, but would forget things every now and then (mostly resets, but still something).

So i created some "Bases" for the models to play on. I was hesitant about doing this, because as I said, part of this was to keep the board clean, so tried to make it as minimalist as possible.

You choose which model you want to play, and i have the measurements just right to keep it pressure fit in. You can of course switch the models out as needed, so only two were needed to be made.

The action markers can then be set next to the model, and the model doesn't just sit in there one way, it can be twisted and turned to have the action markers on any side of the mode. I'm hoping with this that any status markers we will just put on the tokens (stun/daze/etc). Won't be able to field test this till the weekend, but I don't foresee any reason why this wouldn't work and improve the game!

Please comment with ideas/suggestions/likes/ whatever to keep me motivated and going! I'm doing what I can to try and keep the game alive, make sure you do your part!

IT'S NOT JUST ALL ABOUT THE OCTGN!!! :D

New update!
Got the Anval Throne Warlord done and the Necromancer done! Necromancer actually broke in a few spots when I was trying to clean it up, and there is quite a lot of "stringiness" on the models, but a thick bristled nylon brush should clean that up (if i can find one, hard to go out and shopping due to current world issues). But for now this is all basically testing at this time. I did order some fine tip nozzles for my 3d Printer, so when those come in, i will probably reprint these anyways to try to get a little finer detail.
I'm trying to find if there is someone local to paint these up for me, but so far no luck. I'm not a 'horrible' painter, but just don't have the patience to really do it. We will see though as more time goes on.
NOW, i know I said i was going to be patient for purchasing these and this time I am. I need to at least wait till next payday. Hope to keep you updated and will of course post if I decide to put some paint on them.

Again, if you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know!

Hi ya'll! If you follow my other thread, you will see that I have made physical models to use in the Arena game rather than using the Mage Art cards. Its been a blast with the wife and I so far, but now the tricky thing is keeping the tokens nearby. So i came up with this little base mechanism to keep them all together :)
The model (mage) that your using can just slide in and out as needed, and the tokens can sit right next to the mage as needed. This helps to keep the tokens nearby and keeps them on the board. Still a better option (imo) that using the cards as it still takes up less space. Plus, for example, in a game we had the other night, my Warlord was able to be placed on top of the barracks, and did not hinder the card at all. Quite nice and makes it to where one less card (or two if both mages are in) don't have to take up so much space in a single area.
Check out the "HeroForge" thread I have for more information on the models themselves :)

Here is a picture of the model when done printing. What is all around it is called "supports". I have to break all these off with the hopes of not breaking the model in the process. Supports are used to be able to print overhangs that hang horizontally off the model.

So i jumped the gun and got two more of the models I designed. The Anvil Throne and Necromancer. The Warlord just got done printing this morning, the necro is printing now and of course will post pics when done. Here is a picture of the Warlord printing in progress if you were interested-

Id like to buy some (everything) from you.

Or even better give some away as prizes in tournaments :)
Bilbofilter. This is something that I may be able to do. As of right now, I have the models all designed on HeroForge.com. But, I have to pay per file before I officially "own" it and can print it. As of this moment, i have purchased 4, and will have to wait a bit to buy more, probably a few weeks. I also need to get the settings on my 3d Printer a little better, and it needs a few new parts as well to get the models really spot on. Unfortunately, due to current world events, getting parts for the 3d printer is hard. So i'm just using what I have and getting rough models to make sure that what I have designed is what I want, and will work.
But anyways, back to your comment, this is defiantly something we could collaborate on, but it will just take some time. I'll keep this forum post page updated as I continue :)
Hopefully the two new ones will be done printing by tomorrow. Already had one failure which was a waste of a lot of filament, but that's part of the game. I'll keep everyone posted :D
