Sorry for the late announcement but this has been out since late last night. This release fixes the issue with the Spellbook Builder throwing validation errors. Once you have installed the updated module, you will need to follow the instructions located here. The section titled: Spellbook Builder Plugin Install is where you should start.

Rules Discussion / Crush Tokens and Finite Life

So for example my Temple High Guard has been Stranglevined for two rounds and I have paid the Upkeep. The Stranglevine at the point is up 4 Life. Now Deathlock comes out in round 3. During the Upkeep phase, I pay the Upkeep for the 3rd Crush token. However with Finite Life out on all Living Creatures/Conjurations the Stranglevine does not gain any more Life. However during the next round I kill the Deathlock and then during the next Upkeep phase, I pay Stranglevine's Upkeep. Does Stranglevine now have 6 or 8 additional Life?

Spells / Blur and "Hit"

The term "Hit" means that the attack was not avoided in the Avoid Attack step of the Attack sequence, just like when you "Hit" an Orb, correct?

When my friend showed me this game in late 2012 I quickly became addicted and soon found these forums and have been addicted to them ever sense. I still believe that this is the best game on the market and look forward for the release official release of Academy and then PvS!!

Thanks to all of those I have annoyed, bugged, and bothered, and thanks to those to have annoyed, bugged, and bothered me. It has all been a part of the learning experience, and yes I have learned a lot from all ya'll,
and comradery that makes this site the best forums out there!

Rules Discussion / Poisoned Blood and Barksin

So a Druid has [mwcard=DNE01]Barkskin[/mwcard] revealed and the Forcemaster has a hidden [mwcard=MW1E31]Poisoned Blood[/mwcard] attached to Player A. During Upkeep (the FM now has Ini) the Druid pays the Upkeep for the Barkskin and in response the FM reveals the PB.

Now the question: Did the Druid Regenerate before the Finite Life trait was applied to the Druid.

Obviously if PB was revealed before the Upkeep payment then yes. I was asked this question and how I ruled was that when the Upkeep payment was paid the Regenerate and Armor traits were then "renewed" instantly and the Druid healed the two life before the PB was effective.

Now I am not 100% sure this was correct as I am not sure if the Regenerate effects are instant (in this case) upon renewal via the Upkeep payment. Thoughts?

Conjurations (non-living ones) are Poison Immune, correct? Therefore the melee attack of a [mwcard=MWSTX2FFC06]Goblin Alchemist[/mwcard] can not "hit" an Orb, correct?

Alternative Play / Domination is Here! Release 1.13.0.0 has it all!

ACG and I are very happy to announce with todays release, Mage Wars Battlegrounds: Domination is supported in the Mage Wars Module for OCTGN. More info can be found here, and in the change log once you have updated to the new version of the module.

Update:

The question everyone keeps asking, is how do I get the Domination Card? Well this process is very nicely documented on Mage Wars for OCTGN website. Just click on this link here and follow the instructions provided.

Spells / Card Updates with the Arena (4th Editon) Release

I spent some of the weekend updating the OCTGN card database with the new cards from the Arena box. I have just updated the card data not the art at this point. There are 14 cards that had some form of updated text on the cards. Only one (Skeletal Sentry) had an updated Subtype. Enjoy!
