Zuberi has been quite on the ball lately, so he now has 42 stickers. 42, as we all know, is the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and everything.

Anouncements / MAGE WARS SUPPLEMENT UPDATE!
« on: December 08, 2016, 04:05:39 PM »
It's been a long time coming, but today I'm happy to post a new update to the Mage Wars Supplement. Zuberi was critical in his assistance in this project. He's also found some questions we're working through, and we'll update the supplement as soon as we have the answers to those as well. Here is the link to the new supplement. You can also find it in the Resources and Downloads page.

That is totally true, but he's not a nature spell.

My point was neither of the Mountain Ram's bonuses are stopped by the Altar, and it's naturally adept at breaking it.

Straywood is really going to want to pack the Mountain Ram now.

holy shit. Good catch!

Although some cards would only be 2x in the set in that case...

You're assuming that all copies of that card would only be in one pack. There are 3 Magma Golems in one pack and 1 in the other. So iNano is correct, it looks like he only got one of the packs and not both.

Waterfall Cloak can only remove burns from the Mage.

Quick question, is that a complete list of spells? Isnt something missing? :)

 :o

Given Boocheck is a playtester, he has inside info... so I'm guessing he's hinting that you might have missed a spell or two. I haven't received mine yet, but I'll be sure to confirm or recommend an amendment to the list when my copies arrive.

*edit* The number of copies listed add up to 108, which is consistent with retailer statements and info on BGG, etc., so unless that info is incorrect, there doesn't seem to be a discrepancy with the count. Unless something got added (or swapped) after the retailer info was released (which was probably in spring 2016).

Or maybe there are some non-spell cards in the pack. For example, is there a errata Wizard ability card included?

That is a complete list of spells. Not sure what spell Boocheck is eluding to.

V'tarran Healing Song is not a song in the same sense that Heroic Ballad or Healing Madrigal are. We don't have plans to errata it.

From what I understand it's supposed to be at distribution and so retailers should be able to get it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I will definitely be using Ring of Tides now since it works with the trident. Now what about equipment? If it doesn't say Hydro but has the water symbol does her Ring of the Oceans Depths let you pay less mana?

Is there any point to having Rust as Siren when you have Acid Ball? I know Rust is cheaper but it can just be dispelled

The Trident has a hydro attack, but it is not a hydro spell. That is what the subtype would mean.

Demonic Bloodlust is an enchantment. Bloodthirsty Strike is an incantation.

The suggested spellbooks are there to give you an idea of what they can accomplish, but they are not meant to be an endpoint. If you feel you really needed a force push, then start customizing! The Paladin has a wealth of options from that perspective.

General Discussion / Re: Monsters on PvS box
« on: November 21, 2016, 08:42:17 AM »
As stated, the Sherean Leviathan is the giant sea monster at the back; unfortunately, it is only in the set for those who pre-ordered it, so there is a chance that you weren't able to get it based on when you got the set. Metatron is of course the angel with the tall wings.

As for the other creatures, I don't think that they were ever planned in the set. Keep in mind, the ForceMaster vs Warlord box cover has creatures that weren't included either. Heck, even the Warlock's helmet shown in the core set that he is wearing wasn't released till it was put in the Forged in Fire set. All in all, the multiple creatures on the box art are usually just there for show and to grab your attention.

The Leviathan has nothing to do with the preorder. It comes in all the "First Print Copies". Right now all the copies that should be out are the "First Print Copies". So it should include the Leviathan.
