General Discussion / Re: Shut up and take my money!
« on: April 04, 2013, 07:19:52 AM »
Depressing:

All the german online-shops have both the actionmarkers and the spellbooks listed since they've been announced, but none received it yet.

I own 2 cores, 2 of each spell tome, the expansion (was listed at the same time and was delivered - what's the problem with the other extras??) because I love this game and I want to get more players to it. I already got heavy muscles from carrying all that stuff (including binders etc.) around from gamer-meeting to gamer-meeting. I'm a private guy and all that costs me a lot of money since i have to pay shipping to Germany. Sadly the first OP-Kit was not delivered (first delayed, then suddenly out of stock), now the second OP-Kit is delayed again.... no actionmarkers, spellbooks... delayed, delayed, delayed... Very depressing!

Seriously: Couldn't you produce more? I mean it's not like MW is an unattractive game where ArcaneWonders has to worry about finding customers, right? ;) Double your production and we'll buy it!! Promised!

I just love this game and that's why ... You're doing excellent work, AW-team ... I'm just a spoiled gamer... :)

Rules Discussion / Mind Control and PET
« on: March 14, 2013, 01:26:33 AM »
What happens, if I take control over the Beastmasters PET? Does it immediately lose the PET-marker because the bond is broken? (that would make much sense to me thematically/logically)
Or does the creature keep the PET-markers benefit although the missing link to the BM? And if it loses the PET-status, what happens, when the BM regains control over that creature? Since the PET-marker can only be placed on a creature that just came into play, he couldn't re-make it his PET, right? (we had a long discussion during the last game and i gave up for the evenings peace - so after regaining control it was his PET again...)

If that's the case, Mind Control would be a (not cheap, but at least a) way to deal with the PETS. Or at least it would be a nice side-effect... ;)

(I got rid of it the next round by playing the mordoks obelisk/mind control-combo... ;) !BANG! You can't pay for that look in his eyes...

Spells / Re: Card Upkeep & Mind Control

As for Mind Control, In order to reveal it, the must be no further than one zone away from the Mind Control spell, and then you can move away. (The one zone away to reveal was put in place for game balance.)

Oh no! Then I played it wrong all the time: To me it seemed also logical to maintain the maximum distance of one zone even after revealing, since controlling an enemy creature takes a lot of concentration effort for the Forcemaster...
Imagine me dragging my new Gorgon Archer after me with the Force Pull all the time...  :S
...but these days are over now!  :woohoo:

@1unatic:
in your picture you draw to green lines (potential second walls) pointing to the right side. Wouldn't these two walls be out of LoS the moment the first wall (red) has been placed?
Or does it count to have LoS to both spots you like to place the walls on the moment you declare casting the first one of them? Then it would be OK the way you draw it.

I would think the first wall blocks LoS and therefore you better start with one of these two walls and make the red one (in your picture) the second/extended.

Am I right with this?
