Hello,

   After playing for a few days now, one question stands out that we cannot resolve. When a creature attacks that has an additional effect (such as burn, rot, etc.), if the effect die is succesful (i.e., rolls high enough), is it still applied even if no normal or critical damage was done? Our intuitive thought is that if a fireball for example rolls all 0s for the red attack dice, but rolls a 12 for the effect die, since the attack completely missed, no burn effect happened, or does the effect die count regardless of the normal and critical hits?

Agree with Klaxas - the whole package just oozes strategy and wits. I love the fact that you build your mage, and have everything that you want from the beginning of the game, and don't have to panic about not getting the right card during your draw step since there is none!! I got my pre-order in this past Saturday, so I am looking forward to picking it up soon (along with the Core Tome expansion)!!!

I am definitely going to try out the Warlock first - reading the details on the Warlock, it seems like it will be very interesting. I will eventually try all four of the initial mages when my local retailer gets the Mage Wars game stocked - looking sooo forward to this game!!!   :cheer:
