League / Tournament Play / Re: Players in the Bay Area, CA?

There are two players in Santa Clara. We play Friday nights around 6:30 at Illusive Comics (http://illusivecomics.com/). A nearby store, Game Kastle, used to have players there, but I don't see anything on their calendar anymore.

Magic is a worse game to a lot of games. The reason it remains is because it has a huge playerbase. You can find players nearly anywhere.

I play another TCG that "competes" against Magic and it is certainly a struggle to be in Magic's shadow. There were some difficult times, but as with Mage Wars, perseverance is the key. You need to start a regular Mage Wars day and stick to it the best you can. Eventually people will join in (it may take a while).

I got interested in Mage Wars a few weeks ago and have only played twice.

Competition is very important to me. I love the game, but OP is what will keep me around. I'm curious on what big tournaments are upcoming or at least when we'll be informed about them. By big tournaments I mean ones worth traveling for that I could make my money back. In the recent Unplugged interview, a nationals was mentioned.

I have started playing with these guys. Unfortunately, we won't be doing it this Saturday (3/8  ). hacky is in Dallas, RogRog1 is having a birthday, and I'm working. I'd like to make it a regular thing though.
