How many copies of Whirling Strike are supposed to be in the FMvWL set?

While trying to put together a new WL book today, I noticed I only had 1 Whirling Strike. The published Card List says there should be 4. (The pre-built WL book only uses one so I never noticed before.)

If there are indeed supposed to be four, how should I go about getting the missing ones?

I would point out from looking at the cards that the Tegu and unicorn are summoned with the Nature school and are designated animals. The Basilisk (and Hydra and Mana Leech) are summoned with the Arcane school, and are not designated animals.

The story text fo the Wizards says “You have seen our accomplishments. Fantastic creatures of our own design fill your menageries." It makes sense to me that they are not animals

This came up in my game the other day. I can see both sides of the question, and although we ended up playing that the gremlin was hindered, my sense of

spells work the way you think they should, and affect the battle in a way that makes sense.

tells me me it wouldn't.
Can we get an official ruling on this?

That brings up a good point:
Would it be reasonable to assume that the Wizard gets to choose which damage points to cancel? I.e., can he cancel critical damage so that his armor (if any) could help with the rest?

The Spellbind ability allows a mage to change the spell bound in and object with one from his spell book. This may be obvious, but I thought I would check:
What happens to the replaced spell? Is it put back in the book or is it discarded?
