This is hands down one of my favorite games! Im trying to spread the game locally with my group of friends but our schedules are hard to align. Im also trying to become an ambassador and work with other ambassadors near me to get more going with it. Its not dying.

yeah, 4 archers is a lot to attempt to get out! but an archers watchtower is not a bad idea!

Also, I love the graveyard especially since it can summon the wraith! But with a  necro, I have found the libro to be much more efficient over the graveyard.  1 less sbp and 4 less mana.  This helps you off to a good start by having the extra mana early and you  can still harmonize it if you feel so inclined. Libro is also better against big buddy builds.  Graveyard is excellent for enemy swarms if you can keep knocking them out and getting the extra mana on it.  But the libro gives you the same function, it's mobile, and will not be affected by how many creatures your opponent has. just curious why you chose that over libro?

I also agree that the bats could be taken out for something since they cant be deployed and your main actions are so crucial.

Also, vampirism and drain life are great but are you going to use both before dropping a deathlock? or are they used in case of an early rush?

As mentioned before, teleport, force push, and tanglevines are great! espeially when you want to deal loads of damage and not have them run away.  One nice thing I have found, though, is to use a force wave - I use it mainly with zombies to get them in a better position - but it would be nice  here to move all of the archers 1 zone closer to the enemy with your qc so that they could all use their full actions to shoot instead of moving.

It looks good, though.  I'm not a big fan of skelly necros so I always like seeing them posted on here  :)

become objects in the game, remaining in play after they are cast. The
Mage is also considered an object. Incantation and attack spells do not

in the wording of arcane ward it says non mage object. I know this is used mostly for equipment but does "object" refer to anything that is not a mage such as enchantments, conjurations and creatures? Or is it just any object (equipment/ enchant) attached to the mage only?

Reducing a reveal below zero will have no effect.

A mw game designer said this. Why argue your point even though its not in writing. Maybe they'll change that; for now, though, you know that it will not give you mana.

Because not all MW players peruse the forums regularly.  It isn't only sufficient to answer a question that one player asks, but to have an answer available to anyone who might wonder the same thing.  This information should probably find its way into a future FAQ and/or the clause "reduces mana cost by 1, to a minimum of 0" could be included in future discount cards. 

That is the point I was trying to make. it apparently isn't in any rules elsewhere and I think they should make it clear for people who don't think it is; hopefully they get to it. But just saying "thanks, will this be updated to the rules for further clarification?" or something to that effect would have been swell, which he did at the end,  but still continued to attempt to plead a case (from my understanding).

Maybe I just read the whole conversation with the wrong attitude and if I did, my apologizes.

Are you looking to get up and personal with this mage? Cause if so the Cloak of Shadows is sorta counter purpose. It's a cool book though and I like it.

Agreed.  You'll probably get a lot more mileage out of [mwcard=MW1Q07] Elemental Cloak[/mwcard].

I'm also a little confused by [mwcard=MW1J15] Mohktari, Great Tree of Life[/mwcard] AND [mwcard=MW1Q23] Regrowth Belt[/mwcard] AND [mwcard=MW1E32] Regrowth[/mwcard].  I get that you'd probably put the Enchantment on your "buddy" rather than yourself, but these sources of regeneration don't stack.  I'd probably drop the tree and add another enchantment, since it's cheaper and more flexible.  An aggressive Vampiress with Regrowth would be pretty tough to kill!



It completely slipped  my mind that the regen would not stack and that is why I had the tree in there.  I did take the tree out and threw in a bull endurance and a force orb.  I'll probably take out one vampiress??? With everything else going on I dont think i'll have the mana to throw a second one out there.  4 sbp for taking out a vampiress would be great too and give me more play room with other enchants.

I did just play a game with this book and won but mana seemed too tight - i did drop the idol too soon, though, which probably set me back a turn or two; live and learn.  What won the game, though, was baiting dispels so that there wasn't a way to get rid of the vampirism on my dps blood reaper and bear strength on my vampiress.

In that game I actually didn't get close enough to dissolve or melee until late in the game and by that time I just used flame blast and fireball one after another.

yeah, the tree was another late addition and my thought behind it was get in close then drop the tree after the creatures move in - I can hang out in the tree zone with a lash and have more regen.  The regrowth is meant for either the vampires or dps, preferably dps since he cant sustain himself without help.

I also thought about throwing in a knockdown or for orb/ sword.

I might take cloak of shadows out, not sure yet.  Idol of pestilence was added last night so not sure exactly how that one plays out overall but it should be fine with consistent healing. Deathlock is going to be tough to go against and needs to be taken down asap.  Also, Necromancers are going to be very tough to fight since the vampiric trait only works on living creatures.

I use to use the forum sbb but since there are no promos or academy cards to play with on there ive been using octgn as my sbb.  But i cannot seem to find the total sb cost while using this. Am i just overlooking it or do i have to either count the sb points as i go or load it up in a game and then adjust if over/under?

If i am overlooking it where is it located?
