epic to teleport would annoy a lot of players. I do agree that something needs to be done to make slow actually mean something in this game.

Surging Wave against Adramelech and then beat him down with vine raptors.

Personally I am a big fan of any creature that has vampirism as an ability. I have had a lot of games where I had creatures survive 3 or more rounds than they normally would have because of vampirism. One of my friends played his first game about a week ago and learned just how annoying Adramelech with vampirism can be.

Strategy and Tactics / Re: The efficacy of corrosive orchid
« on: February 07, 2014, 11:31:17 AM »
Because you cannot counter the orchid it might be worth putting one into a druid spell book, but I could never really see putting 2 or 3 into a spell book.

@ Khuva

druid  book typically plays out
round 1) ring leaf and vine tree
round 2) 2 mana flowers
round 3) either raptor vince with rouse the beast or blood spine wall and thorn lasher

Pretty much the druid is designed to beat my opponent down with raptor vines and for my thorn lashers to play volley ball with my opponent through the blood spine walls.

@ Shadow the tournament is going to be at Learn 2 Play games in Tampa, Fl. I am not sure what the format will be.

In my opinion  the cost of corrosive orchid is to high, I rather just use a dissolve to get rid of pesky equipment and focus on beating the other mage down with raptor vines and pulling/pushing him through my walls.

@ khuva I do have a cheetah speed, missed it when making my list and yes my Warlock spell book was originally based off the bashcon warlock spell book.

Spells / Re: How essential is teleport?

It is not necessary to have teleport in your spell book to win, but because the card is so diverse and helpful in so many different situations that I think every spell book should have at least 1 in them. It is especially helpful if you are playing a spell book with a lot of slow creatures in it.

Raptor vine should definitely be on this list.

Does reverse attack work on a spell that is unavoidable such as flame blast?

General Discussion / Apprentice Spell book suggestion
« on: February 03, 2014, 07:52:08 PM »
I notice that none of the apprentice spell books have a mana crystal or mana flower in them. I think at least one of the apprentice spell books should because new players need to understand the importance of mana channeling and how much difference 1 or 2 extra mana a round can make.

General Discussion / Re: How to handle the druid.
« on: February 03, 2014, 06:07:49 PM »
Flyers are very important especially if the Druid is running Vine Tree. Vines are a druids bread and butter and if you can avoid the vines you severely weaken the Druid.
