Title: Mage Wars is #2
Post by: Zuberi on November 08, 2013, 10:26:07 AM
Tom Vasel just finished his top 100 games of all time for 2013 and Mage Wars has not only stayed consistent, it's moved up a couple spots. It is now rated the #2 game of all time!

Which is a gimme. Cosmic Encounter will always be his #1 until they make a mimic game with better graphics. He is in love with that game.

Mage Wars at #2, thats awesome!

So since the #1 spot is nigh impossible to take, you could say Mage Wars has the top spot

Yeah, I don't think that's much of a stretch to say.

You could definitely say Mage Wars is the top of it's kind, as Cosmic Encounters is a totally different game centered around Negotiation (as I understand it, I haven't actually played). However, as far as "Games" overall are concerned, I don't think we can ignore his choice just because it's "nigh impossible" to supplant.

Saying it is the number one strategic game is fine though. The number one customizable game is hunky dory as well. Number one dueling game is a-okay. In short, Mage Wars rocks at everything except negotiation, lol.

cosmic encounters is an awesome game. it is one of the 3 component parts that spawned magic the gathering, and thus mage wars. cosmic encounters, along with d&d and baseball trading cards = mtg.
