Hi,
I've a question considering ranged attacks and walls.
Arena:
Imagine:
a x x | x
a = archer
| = wall
the wall is in between range 2 and 3.
Question:
Is the wall considered to be in zone 2 and 3 at the same time?
Thus in reach for the archer's 0-2 attack?

Hi Mathias,
Walls are never IN zones, they reside on the borders between zones.
In your example, the wall is beyond zone 2, and thus would have no effect on the Archer's attacks.

Actually Arcanus that is not correct. Page 18 of the rulebook says
"Ranged attacks may target a wall if either of the adjacent zones is in range and LoS."
Since the adjacent zones are 2 and 3 away then you can choose the closer zone and attack with that.

Whoops! I missed his question here entirely - thanks BlueBy Liquid!
I thought he was wondering if the wall would block his attack to a target 1-2 zones away. Now I see he was asking if the wall could be in range to be the target.
So, yes, you are absolutely right sir. The wall is in range as long as either of the 2 zones it borders is in range.

Actually Arcanus that is not correct..
Now I want to see some flavor text saying....And then the young mage, having never been in Sortilege before, uttered the words,"Actually Arcanus that is not correct." From that day on, he spoke no more. :silly:
