Title: sleep spell questions

Is the only ways to get sleep off of your creature is to have a spell or take damage?

It did thank you. So if the sleep spell was put on ur mage and had no spells to take i off than the other mage can build up until he is ready to stike w/a massive army since u cannot cast attack spell when ur mage has a sleep counter on him?

The target line on Sleep is Non-Mage Living creature
