can the priestess use her Restore ability to cancel the banish? or sleep spell?
or is it only good against unmagical effects like daze, stun. burn..
thank you
-
I don't believe banish is a condition as they are physically removed from play. However, Sleep is a condition. Currently there are only seven conditions. Daze, stun, weak, burn, rot, sleep, cripple. there may be more in the next expansion but we will not know that until it is produced.

Hedge is correct. Restore only works on Conditions and Banish is not a Condition.

Sorry - I can't help myself including this teaser since the question came up: The next set only includes one new condition: SLAM. It represents being knocked flat on the ground, and is a condition produced by Earthquake, Force Hammer, Force Bash, and the Earth Elemental "Quake Stomp" attack! :)
-
what can i use to negate banish after it was cast on one of my cretures?
-
Once Banish is in effect and your creature is out of the arena, there is nothing you can do. Its a very effective way to get rid of creatures for a short time!
But, they are paying a high price for that effect (usually its more than half the creatures mana cost!). However, if used at just the right time, those 3 rounds could make the difference!

Are you guys planning on releasing any spoilers for the new set? These teasers are nice, but some actual spoilers would really get the conversation going on the boards and get some hype generated for this new set. Some updates on the release date would be nice too :)

Coming! The cards just went to print and we are building promo information today and tomorrow for release!
-
Yuuupi! can't waait!
what SLAM condition really do? what negative effect it does?
-
Creature is incapacitated until the start of its action phase.
So, it has been knocked down to the ground, and because its incapacitated, it will lose a guard marker, can't use a Defense, and flyers are knocked down and lose flying. As soon as the creature is activated it "stands back up", flip over the Slam marker and they are now Dazed for that round (Daze is printed n the back of each Slam).
So, its a little more powerful than a Daze, but weaker than a Stun (because it doe snot take away their ability to act during their Action Phase). Its a great way to take out guards and render creatures with defenses vulnerable. It has a nice "feel" like a creature being knocked down.

sounds nice! looks like it's very similar to incantation Knockdown.
-
Ha! Exactly! The incantation Knockdown was supposed to give the Slam condition. However, we pulled it from the Core Set in an effort to streamline the game and remove conditions. In fact, the new Slam marker uses the Knockdown art! :)
