Title: How long does the guard token last?

I googled this for at least 20 minutes. Suppose no one attacks my guard. Does it retain the token round after round, or must I re-assign it as a quick action every round?

Guard markers are removed at the beginning of the creature's Action Phase, when it is activated.  It must use a quick action again to maintain the guard.
