Title: Combustion demon

you "MUST" target a corporeal with no burn...
if there is no such creature, is it possible to summon the combustion demon?

This is a great question!
Combustion demon's place burn ability happens after he is summoned. Therefore if there are no other legal targets, then he places a burn on himself. If you could somehow make it so that he could not target himself (not sure if this is possible), then the must cannot be carried out and nothing happens.

Same idea with the Sanguine Hunter: Often he "bites" himself - although he could bite the Mage that summoned him. Depends who has an easier time healing that damage (e.g. perhaps by Regrowth, Vampirism, "Demonic Reward," etc).
