I didn't see this anywhere, but I'm hoping for some kind of confirmation....
The KoRH gets +2 melee whan attacking the strongest creature. From reading the rules in PvS, I am understanding that this means that if the opponent has only flying creatures on the board (and no others), the KoRH will never get the +2, inasmuch as it can never attack a flying creature... is that correct?

When dealing with instances of the Strongest creature, how easy it is to confront that creature is not factored in. If the strongest creature is a flyer, then the only way you'll get the bonus is if you can manage to attack the flyer. If the strongest creature is walled off in a corner, then you'd have to find some way into that corner.
A realistic example would be a Priest that might have a bunch of level 1 Clerics plus a Crusader Griffin as a Holy Avenger. The Knight of the Red Helm would only get the bonus against the Griffin, despite having a very hard time actually hitting it due to the Flying.
I wouldn't say never, because you can get the bonus on Counterstrikes if you use him to guard, and you might be able to find a way to counteract the flying like with Gravikor, but in general you are correct that if you can't hit the Strongest creature, for whatever reason, then you can't get the bonus.

Knight of the Red Helm is awesome against solo builds like some Force Masters.

I was actually thinking about using it against FM books since they are Psychic Immune, but then I thought of FM's with Thoughtspore support and nixed the idea. Since Thoughtspores rarely melee attack, even guarding isn't any help. Maybe Knockdown will make it into one of my books for the first time ever. (I know it is otherwise useful, but never seem to be able to squeeze one in.)

I have knockdown in just about every book i run. Its such a versatile spell!

Knockdown is seriously amazing. It gets rid of defenses, sms it's cheap enough to one - two punch something with. Great for dealing with flying or familiars or both.

Eagle Wings would be perfect in that case.

Yes, it's a very strong card.

Revealing eagle wings cannot counter knockdown because creatures lose and cannot gain flying while incapacitated

I meant eagle wings for the Knight.
