I have been testing different books against last years Gencon winner; Weighted Training Clothes Wizard.
Somebody told me the book is no longer legal? Is this true, and if so why?

On the arcane wonders website, they posted and eratta to the wizard and his tower.

The short answer is no it is not legal. Wizards are trained only in Arcane and Air. As last years winner was a Water Wizard it would not be legal under current rules.

Yet, if you are having fun and your friends/opponents too, you can just ingore that :)

To make the book legak you simply have to take out one wizard tower to just have one and look up the spellpoints needed when trained in air. I guess you don't even need more attack spells (now that the tower looses the spells you need more) cause you already run a lot.
The second tower saves you some points and maybe that's already enough to get back to 120.
And yes, if you are not playing a serious tournament .... Just ignore it and have fun.

I made a version that should be legal.
This seems weaker that WTC, but not that much. Its only 115 points so room for a few spells.
First you should answer if this is for a 75 min tourney book or not?
I took out a lot of Water spells - 3 Acid Ball and 1 Dissolve added a second Jelly instead.
Changed Rock Attack for Air Attack - Fewer dice, but more and better effects.
A little bit worse vs. Fire and some rarely used spells I removed (Remove magic, Mana Prism)
Should still play and feel the same I hope.

.... Still 2 Wizards Towers in it. Not legal yet xD

You can run 2 Wizard Towers, just not play them at the same time

And I messed up - a lot of equipment seem to missing :(
Going to give it another look later.
2nd Wizard Tower stays, with all those attack spells..

Damn I always get confused between legendary, unique and epic :(
I completely misunderstood the tower errata then. Very good to know! Sometimes I think there are too many words to know exactly...

I don't think the spellbook can be made legal and still be good. It relied on requiring only a single copy of the big attack spells. You simply no longer have enough spell points for that. Especially since you now have to specialize in air.

I have to agree with Jhaelen. Wizard just does not play like this anymore. I think the tactic of using Jinx is still very strong, and there is a lot of ideas to grab from the book.
