Title: Eye for an Eye
Post by: EricTheGreat12 on August 02, 2016, 03:51:15 PM
Eye for an Eye was put in the earlier spoilers {when there were polls} , but it was unfortunately never voted into the Top 1 revealing spot. Now I know we're probably going to get all the cards revealed in 2 days during Gen Con, but what do you guys think it is ?

Song?
Enchantment?

Could be a mandatory reveal enchantment that gives the same damage and effect dice results you receive when attacked to your attacker...

(Which might yield a different result due to armor/toughness)

...and then the enchantment gets destroyed of course...

2/2 0-2 Friendly Creature Level 1 Holy

Holy Mage Only

"Eye for an Eye can only be revealed before the Roll Dice Step of an attack. During the Damage and Effect Step the attacker suffers the same damage and effects as the defender. Then destroy Eye for an Eye."

Hmm does that mean that resilient / incorporeal creatures suddenly takes "normal" damage?

and what about immunity?

Thanks for the info  ;D

I'm guessing that immunity is taken to effect {psychic immunity etc...} , but I'm not shure about resilient/incorporeal.

Gotta ask though, how is the Colossal Crab  ;) ?

Hes not bad. Im considering him for my Druid.

Your not asking the right questions  :D

Lesser Teleport - Arcane Novice

Elephant Grass

Swamp

Id be curios about those  :)

Alandell, the Blue Knight                       hes a Knight not a Soldier.
15 0-0 Holy L5

Lightning attack 4 dice 11+stun Etheral

(I know that's not amazing)

Legendary
"When Alandell is activated, you may pay up to 4 mana. If you do, he gains Melee+1 and adds +1 to his effect rolls for each mana spent, until the end of his activation"

That seems amazing to me. And there's more. Holy School is not just getting a boost.

Ok Colossal Crab Animal, Aquatic, Crutacean.

13  L2 water & L1 nature.

Q: 2 dice 7+ Grapple.
F: 4 dice
"During the upkeep Phase, Colossal Crab's prey recives 2 direct damage"

Actually im hoping for Arcane Duels to do a Paladin vs Siren video real soon.

Or maybe a Sharkcast with some text and pictures in the comments?

Both would be real good!

Don't blame me; I didn't know they even existed  :o although you have peeked my curiosity  ;)

I'll be honest though, from what I have seen, the price of regular creatures are starting to get higher  ???

Can someone spoil the teleport? Sounds like a card my warlord would love to get out of tanglevines!  ;D

I would really like to make you happy but i am afraid, that Lesser teleport will not work that much with Tangelvines :(

Oh well, no problem.  ::) I was expecting a teleport into the same zone to counter the new grapple technique and tanglevines.

"Lesser" teleport: teleport over a very short distance.

What is the actual card?

Lesser Teleport

cost 2     0-1 range Friendly Creature              Arcane 1

Novice

"Target creature, without attached conjurations, is Teleported to a target zone up to 1 zone away from its current zone."

It looks like the end for Tanglevine  :(  But Wizard gets less strong, Warlord gets better - its all good I guess.

Ill be off for the tournament rest of the day :)

Awesome card! So you CAN move to a different zone, it works for grapple but not for tanglevine. Indeed, this card boosts the warlord a bit.

Probably good for balance issues that it does not work for vines.

Edit: I even think that it boosts tanglevines a bit because more people will trade teleport/force push for this.

I think you misinterpret the card, Halewijn.

It allows you to Teleport a friendly creature but any attached conjurations to that creature are not Teleported ( as opposed to attached enchantments which are teleported together with the creature they are attached to )
So this means you CAN get out of a Tanglevine with this card.

The wording can be misleading but the comma makes the difference :)
"Target creature comma without attached conjurations comma is Teleported

This is interesting :)

What about wording like this:

Target creature is teleported without attached conjurations.

I don't know about that wording guys. You never teleport attatched conjurations anyway. That's never worked. So im pretty sure they are saying it won't get you out of a tanglevine.

Agree.

Agreed. Laddinfance will let us know the meaning. Anyway, lesser teleport is VERY strong. Another card boosting the warlords a lot since teleport (and dispel) was really one of the biggest problems with them. The funny thing now is that, even though they are bad in arcane magic, all warlords will be using this a lot!  :P

What is the target of the spell?

Title: Re: Eye for an Eye

Target is "Friendly Creature"

Title: Re: Eye for an Eye

lesser teleport does not teleport creatures that have any attached conjurations. It will not break tangle or stranglevine. it will break grapple.

Eye for an Eye doesnt care about the armor of the creature its on. the enchanted creature suffers the same damage and effects. if the enchanted creature causes 3 damage and a burn to the defender, then it will take 3 damage and a burn regardless of its armor.

On Tuesday, I'll be able to answer more questions.

5 spellpoints is a lot though for a Druid. I'd rather go all out for a Kraken I think (fought against a Druid/Kraken book at the weekend...)

I feel it should be clearer.

Target a creature that has no conjurations attached. This creature is Teleported to a target zone. The zone targeted must be within in the range of this spell. The target zone may be the same zone that the target cr4eature is in."

Except that's not how it works...never mind that this is the Eye for an Eye thread.

Lesser teleport only targets the creature.  The zone that is teleported into must be within one of the creature, not necessarily the caster.  Unfortunately, the targeting line is not large enough to give the stipulation there so we had to put the stipulation in the description.
