Has anyone found a good way to use mend? I need help with figuring it out.

Mend is a great spell for a book that is going for a mana curve. If you find yourself casting high level spells like level 3 creatures and up you may have a few mana left over. If you have some damage on you it can allow you to heal up just a little bit to make a gap of difference in the game. Also healing is more efficient the more armor you have, so if you go for a high armor mage consider mend to get rid of that 2-3 damage you might be taking a round.
I've been experimenting with dark mages and mend, it's not bad!

Yes indeed (refering to mend and dark mages.) In my opion, mend is useful in the manner you said or when you "spam" it.

I have found mend to be very helpful with a necromancer because you need to save as much mana as possible especially when using spawn points plus all the other support stuff. Also, since you want to stay back from a distance it helps over vampirism, imo

Even better for Priestess. Knights of Westlock survive longer and you have enough mana to keep casting them. AND you gain a life every time you cast Mend!

Add a Disciple of Radiance kill zone and you can heal yourself while doing damage to the opponent.
