it say it has 322 cards is this the same as the mage war arena. i was just wondering is this the old version or the new one. i have no problem just want to know if i will be missing anything in this set. I love the game. Thank you Ruby

yes, it is the same. I think there are a few cards less in the original box compared to the new one. Maybe some minor changes to a few cards.
-
Also there are less of the markers that you need. For instance it doesn't have valshalla's wrath tokens. It also has no armor or melee tokens.
-
Tokens were never strictly needed. In the original rulebook it instructs you to use whatever small item (like dice or change) as the tokens. This is because tokens have no rules themselves and are described by the card that uses them.
That said, yes the new version we decided to make Rage, Wrath, and other tokens. But player who do not have those are not missing out.

but... if a future expensions would have a few more chanel tokens... it would be great!

Wait, wait, wait. There are rage tokens in the new core?! I'm very disappointed in all of you who failed to inform me.

How much mana do you get on your spawnpoints/familiars? :-D

i like long games!
sometimes... after a few hours... you don't know what to do with your pixie familiar or with your forge... and you collect mana... at this point you don't want to say to your oponent: "don't worry, i don't have anithing left to cast"!

Use mana counters from Academy for that :D

in academy there are very usefull new damage counter but no mana counter!

I was thinking of Academy mage's mana dial.
Once that is done, each player gets a status tracker and resets it. There are two dials, one for Mana and one for Damage. Both players rotate the damage dial to zero. The Beastmaster rotates his mana dial to zero as well, while the Wizard actually sets it at 3 mana. Each Mage then places a quickcast marker on their Mage.
