So i have been playing this book a lot lately. Of the many books I made this one is by far my favorite. So much I even took it to the last octgn tournament and it was a blast!
The guy is nicknamed the Elemental Lord because of his 6 creatures, 2 of each elemental (currently there is no water elemental) for a total of 50 spellbook points. The basic idea is to make lots of mana and then summon these awesome creatures which some of the best (and most expensive) creatures in the game. They also synergize really well with each other.
Opening with arcane ring + mana crystal leaves you with 25 mana in turn 2, if you are rushed you can drop any of your elementals and something cheap like mana crystal, nully, etc. If not rushed you should keep casting a mana crystal each turn and possibly the staff of storms.
At any time you decide to start getting any of the creatures on the field, your opponent will be forced to react because of the sheer power of each of these creatures, and they are difficult to remove as well. In any game where you get all 6 on the table before dying you will likely win.
Many opponents will go for the mage and ignore the creatures, but the wizards inherent voltaric shield (which he can afford every turn because of his build-up) makes it easier for him to stay alive for the long game, coupled with regrowth belt means he is really hard to kill, retreating with teleport and letting the elementals do the work.
I went with airschool for the staff of storms combo, with hawkeye and 4 storm tokens he is rolling 10 dice on a lightning bolt with 4+ stun. Airschool also allows for the poison gas clouds that synergize well with the nonliving elementals.
What do you think of my little lord? Can he be improved? Is it completely insane to spent 50 points on creatures? Currently I'm thinking he needs some walls for defending himself, but finding the points is hard.

You should be fine with one each of the fire and earth elementals. The extra points can be used for some fog walls and rolling fog. A jelly and mana siphon might work well too.

I like this very thematic spellbook. On the octgn tournament it was a lot of fun watching you. I think you did a very good job. Especially in the second half of most of the games. I must admit I was a little bit sad that you did not use the fire elemental against the zombies in the last match. That would have been fun.
I think one of the earth elementals is enough. That alone gives space for 10 spellpoints.
One question: you don't have a wizard tower included. Is this because of thematical reasons. Gameplaywise it should be a plus.
also did you consider to use a battle forge? Sometimes it seemed you were a little bit action-starved.

I gotta say I love this build! I'll respond to the way I think it could be better later. For now though this book is really inventive. Now that you posted it I might have to start using it on OCTGN :P Major props Keejchen for a really cool book.

This deck does not need a Wizards Tower. Whenever there is free mana, it is invested in more Elementals.
The only weakness I can see in this deck is the defense. No Creature for Intercept. The mage is vulnerable all the time, even if he makes best use of his Voltaric Shield.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Those were indeed some great games in the tournament, I had a lot of fun playing around. I would also love to see someone else play this book!
I am reluctant to remove any creatures from the deck, since the original concept was all about making 2 of each work. But from the testing I have done of this book I do feel that it could make do with one less, and I agree that though I love the earth elementals, the slow is just too hard on them. And hey, 10 spellbook points would be nice.
As Schwenkgott points out, the book does not specifically need a spawnpoint. He already has plenty of manaspending cards available in the book. He could maybe use a wizards tower as a finisher, but I honestly think he needs to focus on something to defend himself.

Is the fire elemental a non released card? AH found the promo info. Hmmm I'll try 2 adramelech instead. Not as thematic, but close, although I can't get two out and its also living which probably works against the poison clouds.
Any suggestions for a promo free approximation?
hmmm ps, should the spellbook builder let me add 2 rolling fogs (as epic cards)?

For anyone interested, here is the newest version of this book. The whole gang is finally together! It is currently designed for 75-minute tournament play. It still plays well and hits hard, and it was completely unaffected by the Great Wizard Nerf. We had a local tournament this monday, and I beat Biblofilters Gencon book in the final match! :D

I still love this book. Water Elemental gives it nice new options. I hope to see it in a tournament setting on OCTGN again sometime :P
I was wondering what your opinion was on Ironvine vs Regrowth Belt. Personally I prefer Ironvine but would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Also I would highly suggest Arcane Ward. It's great for protecting your Circle of Lightning, but also keeping your dudes from being messed up.
Any thoughts on Akiro's Favor? With Staff of Storms you raise the likelihood of getting the daze/stun, but at the same time just rerolling seems more favorable of an option.

@silverclawgrizzly Haha! I love the idea of adding the element of surprise! Though, at least when I meet new people, they are already fairly surprised when they see the elementals pop out. Maybe there are more elements to consider adding?
@Coshade, I like the idea of adding an arcane ward, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the many uses (and restrictions) of this spell. For defending an important enchant it would definitely be worth bringing at least one.
When I look at the belts I usually take regrowth because of the higher regen. Especially in this book opponents go for the mage a lot, so I often end up teleporting around the board while desperately trying to heal. Of course armor helps prevent this, I'm honestly not sure what is best here.
And yeah I have been running with akiros favor for a while now. I used to think that when you roll 10+ dice, with +4 on the effect, the reroll would be redundant. But now I would not go without it! Missing that stun or rolling low dmg with 11 dice is the worst.
I have been thinking of removing the second whirling spirit, freeing up 4 points for adding flexibility. In 75 minute play I rarely get more than 3 creatures out anyway. Any suggestions are much welcomed :D
