Title: Guarding an Defense

When a person is guarding can they roll Defense?

If they have a defense, certainly they may. Guarding only affects which objects may be melee attacked in the guard's zone, grants counterstrikes, and allows for interception if the creature guarding has the Intercept trait. Guarding does not change any characteristics of the target. Also, note that even if the defense is successful and there is no attack dice rolled, the guard still will counterstrike.
