I was just going through the Rules Supplement and noticed this:
Actions
Under normal circumstances, the action marker can be used to either (a) stay still (not take a move action) and
then perform a full action or a quick action, or (b) move up to one zone and then perform a quick action. As
your quick action, you can choose to move again a second zone. You may not use the action marker to perform
two quick actions.
We were under the impression as long as you didn't move, that you could cast two quick action spells on your turn (not including your Quick Cast Marker), are we doing it wrong?
So it looks like the only reason you would ever prepare two quick cast spells is if you are planning on using your Quick Cast Marker for one of them?
-
On your turn you can either:
Move (or not) + 1 Quick action
or
Not move + 1 Full action.
-
Ok, that makes more sense. We have only played two games.
We thought the game was pretty brutal to begin with, and when we were casting 3 spells in one turn (2 quick cast without moving and one with quick cast marker) we thought it was especially brutal! lol
-
You have a quick action which can only cast your quick cast spells. And a full action which allows you to move one zone then cast a quick cast spell or take a second move action to move a total of 2 zones. Your other full action option is to cast a full cast spell. Just remember you only have 2 action markers, therefore only 2 spells can be cast by you mage in a round.

I guess Recon022 still doesn't know what a banana sticker is with this explanation...SO : in fact it's a little reward you get from the administrator of this forum, when you particullarly help someone with his or her Mage wars problem on rules/strategy and so on...and i'm hoping to get one with this ! ;-)

It also is indicative that the ruling or question that was explained is the correct answer.
So if I responded to a topic question and the answer is the proper ruling a banana stick means job well done and that is right answer.

And they are addictive. People don't usually tell you that until it is too late.

Ahh, I see...very nice.
