I haven't seen much discussion of this, but it looks to me as if a Necromancer using skeletons could get some definite mileage from am Armory and some of the other War cards. +1 armour and pierce on your skeletons for a one-off cost is pretty nice.
A Garrison post could be handy, allowing tactical deployment from a graveyard.
Flank Attack could be useful as well.
Has anybody tried any of these out?

Garrison Post would not allow deployment from the Graveyard. It works with War Spawnpoints. Your Mage would be able to use it, but not your spawnpoint. Personally, I really like "skeleton-soldier" books.

Armory really shine with skeletons. Skeletons has high hp but no armor. So adding a single armor point goes a long way in increasing their already high survivability. The piercing allow them to deal with lighly armored creatures.
Flank attack is just amazing.

Archers Watchtower+Skeletal Archer to shoot over your Wall of Bone is good too

A man after my own heart! :P This is exactly the kind of stuff I want to do.

Which mage fits better for a rattling soldierbones spellbook? The Warlord or the Necro? I assume the Necro has it cheaper but the "battle orders" and command-discount rings fit well too - or the warlord only spells like conquer....

But necro has the advantage to be able to drop an Idol of Pestilence and a Deathlock and also, its Spawnpoint follow him. When the promo card Guardian Altar (not sure of name) will be released, it will be very efficient to protect him. Also, it allow him to have cheap access to curses. Also has cheaper access to arcane spells.
