Title: Wildfire Imp against multiple burns
Post by: lukard on July 17, 2014, 03:35:08 PM
Hey guys,

[mwcard=MWSTX2FFC13] Wildfire Imp[/mwcard]

Wildfire Imp says: "... Wildfire Imp gains Melee +2 while attacking an object with a Burn condition on it". How about an object with multiple burn conditions?

I am confident that 2 burn conditions won't give Melee +4; otherwise, it would be too strong.

Sorry if this question already came up, I searched for this but did not find any answer.

Cheers,
Lukard

The Wildfire Imp is a simple yes/no type of ability. It is either active or it is not. So you're gut is right, he would not get +4 melee if the defender had 2 burns.

What about wildfire imp attacking a fire elemental? He may not have a burn condition, but burning he is, is he not?

Fire Elemental is incorporeal fire, so there is just Flame, but no physical object on fire. So sadly no, the imp will not trigger his bonus by attacking a Fire Elemental. Strange are the laws of Infernia.

Like veal, it just doesn't taste the same without the suffering.
