Title: Jinx resolves before Nullify?
Post by: Dr.Cornelius on June 19, 2014, 01:15:40 AM
Situation: Caster has two face down enchantments: [mwcard=MW1E23] Jinx[/mwcard] and [mwcard=MW1E29] Nullify[/mwcard], both controlled by opponent.  Caster attempts a quick spell which targets himself.

Am I correct that the spell would be countered by Jinx before targeting, thus not triggering Nullify.

They'd trigger at the same time I believe. However the controller would choose which one to pay mana for revealing. Unless for some odd reason he was targeting himself with an attack spell(like Geyser) then Jinx would trigger.

you must reveal both.

You get to choose which 1 you wish to pay for, or dont pay for any at all.

Not quite, if the quick spell is an attack spell Nullify will not be triggered as it only triggers on Enchantments and Incantations. If the spell is an Enchantment or Incantation then both will be triggered and you can choose which one (or both if you really want) to pay for. Silver has it right.
