Well, I've given a bunch of thought to my 1000th post and I've decided to use it to do something pretty special. I would like the communities help in making a new spellbook. I'm going to a local store on Tuesday. I want to bring a new spellbook, and I'm hoping you'll help me build this book from scratch. Whatever book we decide is the one I'll be playing with them this week.
The first question is what Mage should I play? Feel free to campaign for your choice. I'm excited to see what we can build together. The meta I'm playing in is pretty varied and not truly hardcore, though they're wanting to get "Tournament Prepared". So, we're pretty open on options.
Lastly, when we hit the end of each phase of this project, I'll be revealing one of the promo cards that will see print in Forged in Fire. Who knows, maybe they'll be useful for this spellbook!

First of all, congratulations on your milestone! 1,000 posts is quite the accomplishment!
I love this idea that you're having the community help build the spellbook you are going to use. Great way to get everybody involved in something.
My vote will have to go for the Druid. An extremely durable Mage, she can be played in many different play styles and is overall one of the best choices, IMO.

looks like i am 100% of the votes so far. I picked a mage that has some troubles so that you will have to be creative.
edit: I want to see a Johtari BM which makes good use of bows, fast, and can handle nonliving if needed.

Your vote has been chopped in half! The Priest of course!

Didn't see the actual poll lol. 1/3 of the votes for Druid!
-
Agro Druid all the way!
-
Unleash upon your foes your holy wrath and retribution! Priest all the way!

The amount of joy I derive, from the fact that it's a heated "Druid vs Priest" so far, is immeasurable. I'm very excited to see where this goes. Most of all I just want to see the votes. I'd love everyone to have a say in this.

I agree with priest

Don't forget to vote in the poll at the top!

Of course the warlord. Until now the most diffcult mage to build a solid spell book in my opinion. Maybe some of the new cards will help.

Indeed. Let them feel Malakai's fire!

I have a better idea. We should have an online tournament to decide which mage laddinfance will build his spellbook with! I'm on team Forcemaster!
(Assuming that everyone agrees to the idea for a tournament. Each mage will need equal representation in the arena.)
I think the forcemaster could really benefit from some creativity.

I've added a vote for the Straywood Beastmaster. While I play all the Mages (still learning EVERYTHING) I have a fondness for the old Beastmaster. Don't know why - I just do!
Enjoy the build when it comes.

U must play Forcemaster Obi Wan!

I voted for the Straywood Beast Master, he's my favorite Mage and just a blast to play.

I voted for Warlord. I want you to feel the joy of a Skeleton Warlord and why Skeletal Sentry need to get soldier subtype :)

Another schadenfreude Warlord vote here!

No comments on my idea of having a tournament decide which mage Laddinfance will use? :(

The only requirement, is that the spellbook he carries has to have any card that has flavor text about Laddinfance....
-
Jbm should be called beastmistress or huntress. I vote for her. Maybe at the end of this u can preview an quick range weapon for her or a 3 zone bow.

The next book after this we'll have a tournament :) We just have to work on our logistics.

So we've ended with a tie. Wasn't really expecting that. As I see it there are three ways to deal with this. First, we could have a vote off between the two choices. Second, I could flip a coin. Third, I could simply choose. As I just finished watching The Dark Knight again, I'm inclined to go with the second option. But that really takes the control out of the forum's hands, so I'll be posting a new poll in just a moment.
