Title: Is Mana Flower a flower?
Post by: Gewar on March 19, 2014, 07:35:31 AM
I know it has no gameplay effest for now, but it could and it would make sense that Mana Flower would have flower subtype.

Currently there are two spells with the Flower subtype: Nightshade Lotus and Corrosive Orchid. It is a little odd that Mana Flower lacks this subtype, but as you said it currently has no impact on the game. I agree 100% though that thematically it would make sense for it to have it.

What if there is eventually an alternate Druid using flowers instead of trees?

I would much rather the Alt druid focus on a Lord of the Flies angle

Give some love to the rather untouched insect subtype. Maybe even a hive mind alternative to treebond.

Flowers and insects are very strongly compatble. Ask a bee!

Any Lord of the flies needs to be trained in the dark and nature schools. It doesn't make sense for a Druids focus to be insects. The reason the Druid even uses insects is for her plants.

Dark makes even less sense for an insect druid. Dark training represents powered gained through dark pacts which is not necessary, or in theme, for an alternate druid.

I didn't say dark for a Druid of any kind. I said for a lord of the flies mage
