Seedling Pod has language restricting the target areas where it can cast its one creature or conjuration. But, the Spreading Vines ability of the Druid indicate that they can work when an object she controls casts a spell. So, can the Seedling Pod's spell use the vine marker to target a far away zone?

When you look up Vine Markers in the codex it clarifies that the vine markers can only be used by Tree Spawnpoints. Seeding pods cannot use vine markers.

Thanks! Hmm, I understand that not all the rules fit on the mage card, but that seems like a pretty liberal use of the phrase "object you control" there. Even if it said "tree you control" that would have been more accurate, and not even inaccurate, as the tree would need to be a spawnpoint to cast something anyway. Well, I guess it could be a familiar, but that is just silly. :P

Speaking of which, the online Codex still needs to be updated with the correct wording.

when i played, didn't have any doubt about it.
it's intuitive.

Thank you for the reminder. I'm on it.

Wait, so the Codex was changed and the mage card was not?
-
I imagine both were changed many many times during the course of development. The final wording in the codex is much more elaborate and descriptive though if that's what you mean. That is probably due to the limited space on the card.

Also, the text on the Druid Ability Card is missing the "...tree spawnpoints..." language. The printed Druid vs Necromancer rules and codex have it worded correctly.
