I'm going to be using this thread to present some card ideas for the war school. The obvious motivator for better war school cards is to improve the lackluster Warlord. But, honestly I feel as though the school itself is lacking with many of it cards being 1st level and even novice, a status that would almost seem more appropriate for basic Arcane spells.
My first card idea is similar to a more powerful version of Battlefury and partially inspired by the DvN spoiled Barkskin spell.
God Of War ( enchantment War 4) mana: 2 / 2 range: 0-2 target: Soldier Creature.
War only. Epic. Cantrip. Upkeep +2.
Target gains an extra quick attack when it activates. This attack occurs as an additional attack during the additional strikes step. Piercing +2.

You could use existing mechanics for this effect. For example, Creature gains Doublestrike for any Quick Action Attack or Creature gains Sweeping for any Quick Action Attack.
You could also have an Enchantment that provides a 'permanent' Counterstrike Trait to a Quick Action Attack. This is similar to the existing Retaliate Enchantment except that it would not be destroyed after one use.
How about a War school Incantation titled COUNTERATTACK! Target a zone and each friendly creature in the zone gets an immediate free action Quick Attack against enemy creatures in target zone. This could also work as an Enchantment Trap type that is triggered by an enemy melee attack in the Enchantment's zone.

Nice Wiz, definitely a post that needs some attention.
Obviously as the school of war the Warlock in my opinion should really have some teeth to his attacks:
Unleash Hell (Yes, from Gladiator): Conjuration Nonliving 0-0
Level 4 Mana 20
Armor 5 Health 14
1-3 Ranged Fire Damage 6 Dice D12 6-10 1 burn, 11+ 2 burn
Warlord only, Legendary
A stationary War Machine that reigns fire balls from great distances. Basically the Wizard Tower without being able to change spell, but the bonus of having to pay mana only once. High mana for obvious reasons. Thoughts?

Ranged attacks are given the zonal condition for this round.

Level 2 2-3 Mana
Ranged attacks gain D12 6-10 1 burn, 11+ 2 burn

Simple but appealing. I like it.

Fatefull strike (war 3, incantation) mana: 6 range: 0-2 target: soldier
Target's next attack this round gains the traits Critical and Unavoidable.
This may need to be epic due to Horn of Gothos. I can't recall how it works right now.

These are all great ideas, and exactly what the war school needs. Enchantments and incantations lvl 2-3 are what it's missing.
