Title: DVN preview Graveyard
Post by: Wiz-Pig on September 16, 2013, 09:15:09 PM
Graveyard (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=573141972721899&set=a.210004849035615.44372.201117713257662&type=1&theater)

Hard to destroy, huge mana generation potential, synergetic with other Necromancer stuff we have seen, badass! This is the first spawnpoint we've seen that has the potential to generate 5 mana in a single turn.

Wait, I can gain Mana when I kill my opponent's creature, and then again the following turn when my opponent kills the zombie version of the creature I raise?

And making it real hard to destroy is one way to shore up some of the weaknesses in spawn points.

Or when you cash in an almost dead minion on the Sacrifical Altar for some extra Melee+Pierce.

I don't think it has to be one of yours even.....

Technically speaking, in a mass melee or team game if the first creature to die in a round is one of the other mages or your teammate youd get 6 mana.

Is that "the first creature to die this round" or "the first time this creature dies this round"?

Its once per round.

If 3 creatures die in a round you only get mana once.

But with this wording you dont get to choose when to use it.
So you cannot delay this effect if a low level creature dies early in the round, in case you hope to kill a high level creature with little HP.

On the paper its a nice spawnpoint, but time will tell.
I can see this one being cast in mid game instead of as an opening, and it definately has synergies with altar - it will be intersting to see if its enough to make it a viable combo.

Yep! Death adds to the graveyard!

It is a good spawnpoint, and has a good synergy all around. 10/10 would cast- ;D

This just might shift the meta enough to make healing a worth while spell, not on the Level 1 creatures but Level 4 might be worth. Perhaps we will see the Healing Spring in this set?

I spell lots of things wrong- like everywhere. Its a side effect of being raised in the age of technology.

Why should I have to learn how to spell when google can spell it for me?
