Title: Finite Life Vs. Heal
Post by: Boocheck on May 31, 2013, 02:33:10 AM
Hi,

i just need to clarify this, so i will hear a "click" sound in my head and thus finally master the enchantments occurance :)

I have a priestes, my enemy is Warlock. He casts on me enchantment (Finite Live) and did not reveal it.

Start of the new turn, ready phase done and we are now in action phase >> I have an iniciative marker

It is a "First Quick-Cast Phase"

1) I pay 9 mana and decide to cast a heal spell.
2)  "First Quick-Cast Phase". My opponent decide to reveal his finite live enchantment.

Now, what happend? Was he able to do that? What is a true and clear way to play enchantment so everything is transparent?

"Kind sir, will you reveal your enchantmets?"
"No"
"Then allow me to cast a heal on me"
"My dear friend, not so fast. I have something in my sleeve!!! (evil laugh) :)

You declare that you are casting Heal on yourself and pay the 9 mana. During the counterspell step he can reveal Poison Blood, paying the reveal cost. Then your heal spell resolves, but you have finite life, so you don't gain any benefit from it.
