When a flying creatures attacks in a zone that has Mangler Caltrops, the Caltrops make the attack against the flying creature? Since it lost its flying as long as it attacks.
If so, MC is a very good way to damage or hinder flying creatures!

I believe that this is not the case, and only applies when the creature enters the zone in the first place.
And since it ignores flyers it does not.
Now it would make some sense if it did, also, when a flying creature started to guard in a zone with caltropes, you would think that it would take some damage from them, But I believe this is not the case, as the creature has already entered the zone.
Makes you think....

Well, Flying creatures "swoop" down to attack according to the description... so while they loose flying in terms of attack range, they still dont touch the ground in a "story" sense.
but yeah, rules wise it only triggers on the actual entry of the square...so the flyer doesnt trip the attack when it crosses into the zone and then can safely touch ground inside without setting them off.
The way Mangler Caltrops work, Necropian Vampiress is good at tip toeing through them with her toggleable flight ability.

So, I think, maybe, for the purpose of "story" the creature can land in places of the zone without caltrops in the floor, to make the attack or the guard....
But I´m still searching for a good way to deal with that f***ing 21 mana angel... without spending much resources... ehehhe

The beastmaster has the bird that has +2 flying....he slathered three of my gray angles in a game once. I would use a wand with a fire spell, fire for the chance of burn.....

There are a lot of ways to deal with flying creatures. Ranged attacks will work fine. Maim Wings is a cheap enchantment that takes away flying and Knockdown is an effective incantation spell that will incapacitate a creature until its next action or the end of the round, whichever comes first. Those are just a few there are more.
