I agree. The art is great and this is actually a pretty nice card, too.a holy version of fortified position. I immediately thought to use it for my beastmaster swarm build until I read that it only heals holy creatures, sooo... maybe I'll run a highland unicorn with my swarm.

I'm surprised they made this card for Academy. Circle of Protection is basically Fortified Position with an added bonus for Holy only, and since everything takes place in one zone, it is universally good - a must-Disperse in Academy if there is one. It's great for the Academy Beastmaster even if his creatures can't benefit from the healing.
In the Beastmaster vs Wizard core set, few creatures have much armour, and you're limited to how much armour you can put on your mage. And Academy creatures generally roll fewer dice than what we're used to in Arena, and few creatures have piercing, although you can add more (via Wolf Fury). I feel like this card is a must-include for anybody running more than a couple living creatures.

it just costs almost one round of channeling in academy

Was about to say the same. You basically lose a whole turn to cast it.

It just occurred to me that you can't use this to heal your mage, because mages are creatures with no school.

So what does it target? How many of these are there in Academy? How many Enchantments can you attach to something?

It target a zone.
There are probably 2 copy of these.
You can attack as many enchantment as you want to someone, as long as they do not have the same name.
