first game, few questions
« on: December 29, 2012, 04:32:52 AM »
Hi,
Last night we had our first game, was great!
i have a few questions please:

1. does fireball or firewall cause direct damage? (ignoring target armor)
2. if i use seeking dispel on the other mage and he has a reverse magic (face down), will the reverse magic work and send the dispel back to me or will the dispel work first?
3. if i use explode spell on a mage dragonscale hauberk, will he still get the flame -2 trait when dealing this damage?

thank you
Ronen

1) No. Unless a spell or effect specifies that it does Direct Damage then it deals damage normally and will not ignore armour

2) The target for seeking dispel is a Hidden Enchantment. Reverse Magic states that it is revealed when the creature enchanted with Reverse Magic is the target of an Incantation or Enchantment. since the creature isn't the target then Reverse Magic won't trigger and won't be revealed.

3) No. Explode states that the equipment is destroyed first and then the damage is dealt. So the Dragonscale Hauberk would be destroyed and unable to use its abilities.
