awesome farkas. your other folks in your group are also invited.

for others out there who may want to make it, reach out to me and I can provide additional details.

restricting the range of the creature damaged is ok. but I think a change to its efficiency is all that is needed too. costing 0 is too efficient.

Other possible solutions
I wonder maybe another solution would be start 9 channeling mages with more mana turn 1.  Say 5-6 more mana than 10 channeling mages.  This would give a little bonus to aggressive mages but also not hurt 10 channeling mages long game.

this is an interesting idea

I think ritual in its current form is bad for the game. it is too Efficient. I posted in another thread even a simple change like it costing 5 mana to get 8 back and still deal the damage limits when it will get used. still useful, but not highly efficient. kallek changes the opportunity costs for the game tremendously. now you can simply have it all. part of the games appeal and nuance are the players choices on how to spend their limited supply of mana.

I do concur that some more sources of global damage or finite life are good. that is part of the reason the owl (was supposed to be a raven) making a zone finite life were put into the game. to help blunt healing.

I do not agree that rush is completely dead. sure it could use a boost. however I do agree that it should be something balanced so that games do not devolve into rush v rush and whoever wins initiative wins the match.

I also would like to see a spawnpoint for fm. a power generator that spits out force spells would be cool.

I'd say the FM is more competitive than ever (since HoB nerf / Battle fury nerf).

Illusory leggings.
Martial attack spells.
Constructs and symbiotic orb.
More + melee enchantments.

Do you find that Siren and FM are overlapping in strategies / playstyle?

fm improved when they changed the wizard tower. no longer could the tower just surging wave you every round.

Academy necro release, flip an enemy enchant facedown and it cannot be revealed again that turn if I remember right. So flip force field facedown and seeking dispel it. Oh, and its novice

I also believe that the controller of the enchantment also loses mana equal to its level after it is flipped over.

I believe it is in academy necro.

I meant by worst matchup for my book facing the libro-ritual was going to be more of a challenge, than any other ritual build. I still felt confident about facing the necro build. but just knew it would pose the most challenge.

my thought on ritual is that it is just a bit too efficient. does not need a lot of change, but something. I think it should cost 5 mana, and grant 8 back. or something like that where you have to manage your mana differently. that alone could impact when it gets used so much to where you cannot just super ramp up a gaggle of large creatures.

anyway it was a great event playing some great matches.

General Discussion / favorite artwork
« on: August 18, 2019, 01:36:19 PM »
with so many releases this year, I thought I would post something to see what folks love for their favorite artwork in mw. does not have to be from sets for this year, but all cards released.

I like the killer bees for several reasons. reminds me of mtg killer bees where I really like phil foglios art on that one. I used to name my sun microsystems workstations killerbees.

i have a few others but will just go with that one to kick off the thread.

was cruising through old threads looking for something and saw this one. so of course had to respond to revive it because how could I not? we need more threads where I am awesome.

we had another fantastic mw weekend last month. so many players from all over. biblo flying over from Denmark made him the guest of honor. great matches and so much fun. a great time. thanks so much to all who made it. these things cannot happen without such great people showing up. I hope to have another event here sometime in October or perhaps November.
