Can the Druid use the Ring of the Ocean's Depths? It's water Mage only opposed to Siren only but its N/A for Druid in the builder even tho she is trained in level 1 water spells. Not sure if this is a rules misunderstanding on my part or an oversight in the builder, thanks in advance for clarification!

Yes the druid can use the Ring of ocean's depths.

I would also believe that you would get a valor for each of the 3 strikes that connects. Because each strike goes through the same defense steps, each strike is a different attack.

Mage Wars Academy / Re: Next Expansion?

or the male pronoun is used as a generic term.

But it isn't for the Arena Forcemaster vs Warlord... (Machtmeisterin is feminine), so that implies the Academy Forcemaster is male.

(See also the German Academy Priestess expansion, which is feminine)

Because those are out and confirmed as the specific genders. an academy force master is still in speculation, so the male pronoun is being used as a place holder until it is confirmed.

The generic for human is Man. Which is why I'm saying that the Male pronoun is just a placeholder.

In fact, more than that, the Arena Forcemaster expansion lists it as Machtmeisterin, which implies the Academy Machtmeister will be male.
(The Warlord = Kriegsherr appears to be male, same as for the Arena expansion)

or the male pronoun is used as a generic tern.

Of course, we're still waiting to see what "Minor Living Animal Creature" is pictured on both Badger Frenzy and Panther Stealth...

I don't think they are minor creatures pictured. I think panther stealth is giving the elusiveness of cervere to a basic elf type soldier creature. And Badger frenzy is giving you the "crazed" aspect of the honey badger (honey badger don't care). And as someone who is a playtester, I do not recall seeing any badger type creature. But again we've seen hundreds of cards that have yet to see print.

Searching that store for "Mage Wars Academy" reveals a preorder for Machtmeister, so it seems that it's Forcemaster.

As a playtester, would you be interested in confirming or denying these rumours?

Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes would famously say, "I Know nothing... NOTHNIG!!!"

this is awesome!!!

The Mother of dragons, Priestess book is Legal.... there are promos. but it equals 120!

Thank you for all the amazing work.  I only wish the export function worked better, or there was a way to hide all cards not in your book.

I hope AW buys this from you and Hires you to maintain it and pays you infinite Dollars!

@V10lentray: export is highly experimental, it produces a file that can be loaded on another computer, export to forum format is somewhere on a todo list

can export to excel become an option?

How does the export function work?

Is there a way to get your cards in your book in a list form?

I have a book here I want to share with someone and I cant figure out the export feature.

But yeah, Fire Elemental and Magma Golem may have actually lost their lustre since being printed in Lost Grimoire. If they hadn't been printed as promos, everybody would be going "WHOA!!!  LOOK AT THAT! AMAZING!!" but instead it's more like "Oh, they finally printed that in a set. Too bad the Wizard isn't trained in that school anymore, and that a similarly powered Demon is generally better for either of the Warlocks..."

I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the fire elemental in the future  8)

I'd also be open to setting up a separate spellbook builder for playtesters that would contain extra spells you are playtesting now...

That might be Risky... if the link ever gets out people will see stuff they shouldn't. Also cards in playtest sometimes change 3-4 times. anything from level, to mana costs... anything can basically change.  that would mean you would be constantly updating the special playtest builder.

Not that it wouldn't be amazing to have. Sometimes counting by hand is a P.I.T.A.!!!

I'll dig through my cards and see what Promos I have that aren't released and scan them for you.

Apart from maybe promoting the game. I very much dislike promo cards, so I'm happy they didn't do it this year. :P

I think they are more supposed to hype you up for them coming out in future sets and get you thinking about how to use them. although sometimes they change from Promo to Print Version.  For example, [mwcard=MWBG1A04]Sandstorm[/mwcard] use to be a quick spell.

Academy cards have now been added!

Is there a way to add promo cards? I know it might be tricky if people are using this tool for tournament decks, but for casual play it would be nice to include them.

I built a Priestess book last night that has an active Alfiya, Noble Enforcer on Turn 2, and smashing face on turn 3.

There are currently X different mages in playtest (I know I'm playing with them). Also Y Mages are in Final proof stage, so were basically only looking at formatting, Spelling, and Grammar on y different Mages (yes Mages as in Plural) - So there is still plenty of more content being developed.

Also if you look at Aaron's profile he was last on the forum 2 days ago. While he doesn't always post, he's at least still looking at what is going on.

While I'm disappointed that there were no DT promos this year, I'm ok with it because they were always lumped into a category with a high dollar value where you got a ton of other stuff for games I didn't have or wanted. Sure you could buy them from the DT after it was over, but I believe, last year, they were selling them at GenCon for $15 for the set. (Plus Onitama is AMAZING!!!)
