Creative / My Spell Card Organization

Here is my little piece of OCDism. All of the cards are in sleeved in different colors based upon Spell type. They are then arranged by school (alpha) then sorted alphabetically.



Red – Enchantment
Brown – Creature
White – Attack
Green – Conjuration
Black – Equipment
Purple – Incantation

Cards are from Core, Tome 1, Tome 2, and FvM.

I have four spell books currently, so there is approximately an addition 200 or so cards there.

Strategy and Tactics / Force Hold Flyers into Quicksand

I was thinking this combo would be great. The Quicksand does not typically affect flyers. However if I were to use the Force Hold Spell on to a Flyer (now would have the Restrained trait and loses the Flying trait as a result)  then cast a Quicksand on him he would then be unable to move out of the Quicksand as long as I pay the Upkeep. Correct? Death in Four Rounds....

Strategy and Tactics / Force Master vs Swarms

I have read several times in the forums how weak she is against Beast Masters with swarms. I don't get it, now honestly I have yet to go up against a swarming deck so have no feel for it. It seems to me that between Wall of Pikes and Mangler Caltrops that any low level swarm would be mostly wiped out before it even got to her and then with a sweeping attack from her and pushing she would make them repeat the Pike/Caltrop damage again. What am I missing here?

Mid-level swarms would face the same challenge but be lessor in numbers....

Then there is 3 Force Field Hit and 1 Defense before any attack could even land....

Just do not get it....

From the FAQ

Temple of Light

The effect die results, “9 -10 = stun, 11+ daze”, are correct. (As the number of temples increases, the chance to Daze increases, but not the chance to Stun.)

So if I had a Hand of Bim-Shala out along with the Temple of Light what would my effect roll look like? Daze 9+ (No lower chance to Stun)

And if had two Hand of Bim-Shala's and Temple of Light? Daze 8+ (Still no lower chance to Stun)

If this is so I played it wrong last week. :(

Played this Equipment yesterday, it is quite a card. I had a question about its Defense capability, since it is Autonomous, can its Defense capability be used to protect another Friendly creature in the same zone?

I see the FM looking around and seeing her Familiar is about to be attacked and she uses are Mind to command the Sword to protect it. My friend disagreed.

It seems to me that I could park a low level critter in his zone and not activate him until after the Stalker has been activated and attacked. If the Forcemaster has himself and the IS out it seems that if the opposing mage has three or more creatures in the same zone then the FM would not want to activate the IS. Am I missing something here? I think it would be quite easy to open a can of Whoop A!^ on him or just idle him as Mana waste. At some point you have to make him useful and then he would have to pay for it, correct?

Trying to get a solid answer to this as the way I have been playing is that any traits + or - makes an overall on effect dice rolls. For example Knight of Westlock has a Lighting +2 Trait. He struck with a Lightning Bolt by a Mage with Hawkeye (Ranged +1). The total dice rolled for Damage would be 5+2+1=8 and effect die roll would be: ((6-7)-2-1)=3-4 Dazed and (8-2-1)=5+ Stunned

Is this correct or am I reading something into Page 26 that I shouldn't:
"If the attack has any possible additional effects listed in the attack bar (always shown as an additional effect box with a d12 icon), also roll the effect die at the same time, and add or subtract any modifiers to
that roll."

Would he be considered a level 6 creature? So if he were pushed through (say after being a victim of Maim Wings) a Wall of Throrns it would be 5 x 2 die attacks? Small side question with the Wall. Could you enchant said wall with a Bear Strength?

Will these be posted online here soon? The expansion is on a package delivery vechile headed my way. I would love to see the rules before hand. With that said would a card list also be in the works?

Here is the current iteration (v7) of my Priestess deck. It is designed to counter my friends Warlock beatdown deck which gets into your face very quickly.  The idea is to buy enough time to get the small army of powerful creatures who will then quickly turn the tide in my favor. I lost three games in row then with v6 version of my deck I was able to take the Warlords head quite easily. Some tweaking after that and here is what I have today. I am looking forward to running this deck again hopefully next week.
