Website Support and Feedback / Card Updates
« on: May 16, 2015, 10:41:24 AM »
Are we going to see any of the updated cards from the recent releases updated on the Card DB? I do have the Arena release myself but a digital version would be very nice!

Spells / Is the Invisible Stalker Psychic Immune?
« on: March 05, 2015, 07:34:13 PM »
I was sure that he was, but after looking at the Rules and Code, Codex v2, the FAQ, and a Google search I am not able to find the Psychic Immunity applies to him or Fire Elemental, Whirling Spirit, and Grey Wraith.

General Questions / Can a creature with the Uncontainable trait be Pushed?
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:47:45 PM »
Did a little looking around at the FAQ, the Codex, and a google search on the forum.arcanewonders.com site and didn't come up with an answer. Could of missed it though.

From the v2 Codex:

Uncontainable
This creature has a slippery and/or amorphous body, making it difficult to hold in place. Some spells, conditions, and effects will not work against an Uncontainable creature. All Incorporeal creatures have the Uncontainable trait.

Alternative Play / Looking for a C# developer for the Spellbook Builder
« on: January 22, 2015, 04:48:46 PM »
All, hopefully as you all know by now, ACG has stepped in to help with the Mage Wars on OCTGN module. This is all done in Python and I can most assuredly tell you that he really fits the bill very well. However there is a companion to the module and it is the Spellbook builder. It is written is C# and at this point is very mature. I am looking for someone to help maintain the dll. Being on a quarterly release cycle, I would expect at most 8 hours in time over that entire period at the most. Typically when new mages are added is when most of the work will be needed. I currently have a problem that I need someone to look for me.

If you are interested in helping the project out, please feel free to PM.

Alternative Play / v1.11.0.0 for Mage Wars has been released!
« on: January 11, 2015, 05:45:55 PM »
Hope you guys enjoy the first release of the New Year! Sadly this is the last release with lettucemode providing is help with the coding on the module. The good news is ACG has stepped up, and in a big way, to help enhance the module going forward.

His first touch and what a big one it is: Card attachments! You can drag and drop the card you wish to attach on to the target card and we will handle it from there! Now not much has been done on rules enforcement, but give him a bit of time and lets see what we can do!

Upkeep is now automated and will ask you to pay for your Upkeep during the Upkeep phase. Many bugs have been fixed, please look at the Changelog under Game Documents for more details.

What’s next? Well, we are moving to a quarterly release schedule for most updates. Hopefully Domination will be out by April and we can include that in the next release. Automation of Attachments will be fantastic as well as Attacks getting a major automation boost.

Thanks for you little ole Mage Wars Dev team! Have a Happy New Years!

Alternative Play / Developer needed
« on: December 05, 2014, 04:40:36 PM »
Sadly lettucemode has informed me that he will be stepping away from helping me with development support of the OCTGN module, the planned end of year release will be the last with his involvement.  :'(

Lets all send a big shout out to lettucemode for all of the amazing work he has done this year! Many of this years improvements would not of been possible without him.

With that said, I am looking for some assistance with the more complex Python coding that my skill set is not able to tackle. Optimally the same person would have as some C# programing skills to help with Spellbook Builder piece. I am thinking that the time needed will be about 8-10 hours over a quarter (next year the plan is to release quarterly) on the python side and maybe 1-4 hours on the C# side, mainly when new mages are released. If you are interested please PM me and we can discuss the project needs.  8)

General Discussion / Wow 2000 posts!!!!
« on: November 17, 2014, 04:25:07 PM »
I really enjoy the Mage Wars community and interacting with everyone on this forum, lots of passions and very little (if any) flaming.

I will be at BGGCon this weekend helping to run demo's. Come by and say hi if you would like, maybe even get a game in after hours, as I will bring a couple of my books.

If one of these Wands are Dissolved does the attached spell get discarded or is it also protected by the Cantrip Trait?
