Hello guys,
I'll start by wishing you and all your families a merry and peaceful Christmas time!
However in Etheria war still rages on and yesterday my druid met my brothers forcemaster. And we had trouble finding out the correct interaction between his Invisible Stalker and my only possible answer that was Pillar of the Righteous Flame.
Is the Stalker attacked when it enters the pillar zone still being invisible?
Is he a legal target for the upkeep when the dissipate token is removed?
-
I don't see the card text before me but generally: If the Pillars's attack needs to target a creature, then the Stalker will not get hit since he can't be targeted.
-
I'm pretty sure pillar of the rightous flame can not attack the stalker when he's invisible. If by some reason the stalker would be visible when he enters the zone, then he would be a legal target.
During upkeep the stalker is always invisible so no.
Merry Christmas to you too!

No, he is only visible on those rounds he declared an attack. A very shy stalker stays invisible until the end of the game :)
pillar of the righteous flame says it attacks enemy creatures. The question is if it needs to target the attacked creature.
-
So where do you not agree with me? During upkeep the stalker becomes invisible so the pillar won't be able to target it during upkeep ever.
-
I should stop reading this forum at night... 8)
Thought you wrote he is always visible during upkeep. My fault.
-
He is invisible during the upkeep? Or becomes invisible during the upkeep? Because during a round in witch the Paladin has initiative, the pillar will be able fire before the Stalker has a chance to go invisible, unless he is invisible before the upkeep.

It's easier for everyone if you link the cards :)
[mwcard=FWC08]Invisible Stalker[/mwcard]
When stalker attacks, he is visible until the end of the round, meaning in upkeep he will be invisible.
[mwcard=PSJ06]Pillar of Righteous Fury[/mwcard]
Pillar attacks are ranged 0-0 attacks. SIngle target attacks require targeting unless specified otherwise. Meaning pillar can not attack an invisible Invisible Stalker.
