Spells / Re: favorite creature

My favorite creature is Guardian Angel, which is still a solid defensive unit despite its age (the healing two damage everytime that it guards and the defense chance means that it tends to survive a lot longer than it should).  After her, I have to give my vote to the Knight of Westlock even though it is a bit of a glass cannon (its relatively high armor and evade chance still allows it to live much longer than creature with similar health, and Knight's Courage has given it a lot of hitting power).

I rarely use Renewing Spring because it is unnecessary for the mages that I tend to play (Priestess and Paladin have better healing, as do Druid and Beastmaster).  My favorite conjurations are Mana Crystal, followed by Mana Flowers, followed by Vine Tree.

I have a soft spot for Divine Intervention, as it has saved my Priestess many, many times.

Though, since it is a psychic spell, it will not work on Non-Living Creatures.

Mages / Re: Wizard Fix

The change in the wizard never really effected me.  I always used the air wizard, and I tended not to depend on the Wizard's Tower.  Devouring Jellies and Medusa Archers are great creatures.

The Siren is Aquatic.

While I agree that many of the Mages need balancing, there is a Golden Mean.  It is why they changed the Wizard to Air and Arcane only.  I think that it would be appropriate to give the Priest training in Fire and Holy, which would make him much more agressive.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: first paladin attempt

It is creature light for a Holy Mage in my opinion.  I generally run with 40 spell point in creature spells for Holy mages myself.  I like the Noble Vanguard, it is good for dealing a blow and then taking the blow meant for your Mage, and it will likely survive for a while on Consecrated Ground.  I would also suggest considered a Guardian Angel which, combined with Consecrated Ground, tends to live halfway to forever, though it cannot be combined with Knight's Courage and is not Vigilant.

So, is it similar to a tactical nuke when used?  Tsunami has to be the most powerful area effect spell in the game, especially when combined with the Ring of Tides.

Of course, since Shallow Sea is a Cantrip, the Siren can just cast it again to replace the Consecrated Ground.

It does keep the Griffin occupied.

Knight of the Red Helm, Noble Protector, and Light of the Dawn are all good cards.  Tsunami combined with Ring of Tides is an amazing combination for a Siren.  Use Limited Teleport to teleport away from your army when you have Initiative and unleash Tsunami.  You will do 4 dice of hydro damage against any non-flyer and you will have a push on anything but a '2', allowing the creatures to be hit again and again. While Druid is almost immune, most spellbooks will collapse.

I think that allowing him to passively give +1 Melee/+1 Range to all friendly soldier creatures in the arena would help.

Ouch  :).  That means a high certainty that Tsunami was meant to attack and push multiple targets multiple times.

Spells / Questions about Combining Tsunami with Ring of Tides

I was curious if anyone has use Tsunami with the Ring of Tides with a Siren that has the initiative?  Since the bonuses provided by the Ring of Tides are not a +X trait, I would think that the bonuses would be applied to every target of the attack, with every attack, but I could be wrong.  What do you all think about the combination?
