Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: Harry Dresden Wizard
« on: November 13, 2014, 01:09:26 PM »
I have read all of the books, I do have a force push in. I actually had to make changes because I did not take into consideration creatures with flame immunity and my friend stomped be because I had almost no way to hurt his creatures. I thought about some minions but the vampire is female so could not be thomas and i wanted to try a book without creatures to see if I could make it work. Brogan would make a good michael but would be to expensive to put in the book

Thank You for the feedback.

I felt the elemental cloAK represented his duster more than the suppression cloak did

I almost always build my spell books around what my first 3 turns will be like.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Harry Dresden Wizard

I am a huge fan of the Dresden Files and just made a wizard spell book based off of Harry Dresden the main character of the Dresden Filesnovels. I tried to make the deck as thematic as I could while still being competitive.

2 Mana Crystals
4 Wall of Fire
1 Battle Forge
1 Mordock's Obelsk
1 Suppression Orb
1 Defense Ring
1 Storm Drake Hide
1 Elemental Cloak (Harry's Duster)
1 Fireshaper Ring
1 Regrowth Belt
2 Elemental Wand (Harry's Blasting Rod)
2 Mage Wand (Harry's Staff)
1 Reflex Boots
1 Deflection Bracers (Harry's Shield Bracelet)
6 Flame Blast (FUEGO!)
4 Fire Ball
2 Devil's Trident (those times that Harry has used Hellfire)
2 Ring of Fire
2 Fire Storm
3 Jet Stream (FOZARE!)
1 Explode
1 Dissolve
2 Disarm
2 Seeking Dispel
3 Teleport (Harry crossing over into the never never)
2 Dispel
1 Repulse
4 Ignite
2 Combustion
2 Force Push
1 Nullify
1 Reverse Magic
1 Circle of Fire
2 Hellfire Trap
2 Rust
2 Brace Yourself (Since I cannot use Forcefield as a wizard I figured brace yourself could be Harry using is forcefield)

1) vine tree/harmonize
2) 2 mana flowers
3) either kralathor or a vine raptor with rouse the beast

The siren should have a pet kracken or megalodon

Would someone agree to this? What makes vines that good? My problem with the Druid is that, while she might be super strong, she has two weak spots:

1.Her vulnerability against fire/flame (Adramelech Warlock is going to be her Nemesis!)

2. Needing LoS to use her vines

She seems a bit slow too, but maybe someone may correct me on my points!

Druids are Not slow. With the vine tree and paying the one mana to place an extra vine marker on rounds 2 and 3 I can have a Kralathor or a raptor vine in the zone adjacent to the enemy mages spawn point by round 3, use rouse the beast and I am attacking the enemy Mage is his spawnpoint round 3. Needing LOS to use the vines is not really a big deal because it is not like a lot of people are running around with walls in their spell books. Vines plus Vine tree letting me spawn vine creatures pretty much anywhere I want on the map and still having 2 actions left is not slow by any means.

Druids should definitely be on that list, honestly vines are one of the strongest abilities in the game in my opinion

Raptor vines tend to kill them fairly quickly but most of the time I ignore them and just focus on the Necromancer
