I'd like to see an iOS version by Playdek. They did a great job on Summoner Wars.

+1.

So far I've played 3 games, and my current thinking is that this MW would make a better online game than it does a board game, even though I like it as a board game. My reasoning is that the most fun part of MW is the decision making in the planning phase and then when deciding what to do during the action phases. There are a few things that seem to bog down the flow of the game:

(1) dice rolling
(2) manually keeping track of upkeep / counters / conditions
(3) checking rules

I think an online version could streamline all of those things. I know people say that the game speeds up once you get used to it, but the problem is that both people I've played against don't want to play anymore because the current slowness isn't worth it for them. I think an online version may be able to bring in some new fans who otherwise wouldn't take the time to learn the game.

That said -- any update on the status of an online version?

General Discussion / tips for making proxies?
« on: February 28, 2013, 08:59:54 PM »
I've made a few sheets of proxy cards by first scanning a page-sized 3x3 grid of cards, then printing however many copies of this sheet that I want. However the scanning process is cumbersome.

I notice that cardgamebd has images of all of the cards, although they are fairly low resolution. Questions:

(1) Anyone know of any higher resolution scans of the cards available online?

(2) If I decided to use the images from cardgamedb, what's the easiest way to ensure that the card images on the printout are exactly the same size as the normal cards?

Player Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Soft play board (arena)

Just want to chime in that the portability issue is a big deal for me as well, so any sort of roll-able mat would be awesome.

League / Tournament Play / Re: Seattle, WA

I live in Bellevue and just got the game, and am interested in finding some people to play with. I'm self employed so I'm pretty flexible about when I can play. On most days I could find some time between 1pm-2am.

If you're reading this and want to play a game near Seattle/Eastside please message me. I'll follow up w/ the folks who have already posted.
